I do, and it's hard to stop! Boost the bass and throw in a subwoofer and it takes you to a higher plane of existence... Edit: Actually just sat through an entire 3 hour flight with this on repeat; total zen the entire ride.
Very cool. Would you be interested in playing a Jaw harp festival? We are having a festival in Oregon in August and we are looking for players. Let me know if you are interested.
Kragatar It should be a good gathering of fellow harpists and enthusiasts. There will be some didgeridoo and banjo playing. I showed the other NAJH members some of your videos and they were impressed. I have been following your videos for some time and they are very original with very good playing. I would also like to extend an invitation to come join our group on fb. We are The North American Jaw Harpists and we are trying to spread awareness of the harp, and we are trying to revive the Jews harp here in North America.
Im from germany and would deffinetely come. I play the jawharp myselfe. Not perfectly but its getting better. And i like your vids. Learned a lot from you. Keep goin.
I don't know if that is still an ongoing thing but I have a friend who plays the jaw harp. He has a channel here on UA-cam called 5hrs from the center. He does original songs. We're here in oklahoma but he might be interested if you need people to play
@@Kragatar Can you contact me? Id like to learn your technique. Im from germany and play the jawharp myself a bit.Not as good as you but i am willing to learn. Greets fom gernsheim, germany. Would be nice to hesr from you. Makajikisan@aol.com
WOW I'm totally amazed can i ask u how long u've been playing the harp? Cheers loved this video.. brilliant sound design by the way!? Keep up the good work.
i love your playing and this song. it transmits so much. i ve been listening to it over and over again. thank you for sharing this with us. i hope one day i ll get to be at least as skillful as you on my homus :)
Can you share the technique you use to get that echo effect? Is that some kind of modulation you're doing with your tongue or is that an echo effect on the mic? If it's something you're doing, i really wanna know.
your friend got this new bong...something seems off about it it glows with a strange etherial light drawing you closer you take a derp rip exhale and hear this
Thanks for posting this. Your Journey work is incredible. I especially appreciate the seemingly effortless rhythmic balance. I have a Glazyrin Star and just ordered an Area 51 and a Chancellor from Z. Szilagyi. I hope you post more Like this as I practice and try to understand and emulate your techniques. Thank you.
Im finding this style hard to play. the slow plucking with a faster mouth beat is like padding your head and circle rubbing your tummy at the same time. Ive recently upgraded to an Oberton pro from a toy Snoopy jaw harp. XD
That was great! I just bought my first decent jaw harp and having fun with it ! What make & model harp is that ? It sounds great ! I'm amazed at how many different ones there are, and in all kinds of price ranges !
Thanks! That harp is Zoltan Szilagyi's "Area 51" type, in B. One of my favorites :-) Yeah, it's awesome how much variety there is. Makes collecting them addictive, lol. Keep on twanging!
Kragatar Perfect! I was curious what key and type of harp you were using for this. I've only got one black fire in E but szilagyi carved me a cool case for it. I have some Russian vargans, some Indian ones. One from Clayton Bailey. I have about 14 harps now all handmade. I think my most expensive harp is a Norwegian munnharpe by Bjorgulv Straum. Unfortunately oberton Pro is out of stock for the area 51 in B. I may Wait then. Considering a few others too get. I'm not really good playing them but I love em. I really like the tune of this one
How’d he get his mustache to sound like that?
He trained it
Damn, if only I could get my beard to play as good as my semi-non-existant moustache
hes just a giga chad
He tuned it just perfectly
😂😂😂😂
such a powerful mustache to be able to muster such a sound, absolutely mesmerizing
I can easily imagine an Australian earthworm coming up from the ground and dancing
its like a type of didgeridoo sound, though with less complexity
than the didgeridoo.
easily? sure blud. i bet itd be hard for you
My only complaint is that the song doesn't go on forever. Seriously, this is downright mystical...
Play it on repeat, my friend 👍
I do, and it's hard to stop! Boost the bass and throw in a subwoofer and it takes you to a higher plane of existence...

So cool. It's sounds like a techno didgeridoo...
In a way those things are like didgeridoos. Just small lol.
@@RBLUS_TY my thoughts too, mebe with a talk box too.

This is the first time I’ve heard the jaw harp and WOW I’m beyond impressed! What a cool instrument!
Same here! I looked it up after researching old hillbilly songs that had this instrument in it. This thing is awesome 👌
One of the coolest sounding instruments. For me the jaw harp has an almost ancient feel to it.
It is ancient! The earliest one we know of is from before 1800 BC.
Makes me imagine Genghis Khan running around conquering shit
Very cool. Would you be interested in playing a Jaw harp festival? We are having a festival in Oregon in August and we are looking for players. Let me know if you are interested.
I'll definitely think about it. Oregon is far away from me, but a jaw harp festival does sound like fun.

I have never seen this instrument before! Sounds so cool. Where did you learn to play such unique instruments?
Watched tutorials to learn the basics, but other than that it's mostly just experimentation and practice.

No instrument screams cowboys and gunslingers than the harmonica banjo and jaw harp and saloon pianos
That sounds great! I am looking for a new harp and love the sound of this one!! What brand is it?
I always thought this instrument sounded like a "boing" sound effect
Excellent song, loved it.
Thank you :)

What harp are you playing?
I love the bass sound.
Does the jaw harp come with various scales? Like the harmonica?
Yeah, they can be tuned to specific keys. The one in this video is tuned to B.
Great❤

I seriously need to get one of these
Visit the Bebbcorp Harpery online. Get the Pavel Potkin harp. Cheap and good. You can listen to each one if you click on the harp selection.
