No, they probably blew the movie budget in hiring him. And that probably wasn't a lot of money in the first place.
Funny how Snipes' character is literally everywhere he needs to be at just the right time. They leave his cabin, drive for couple of miles, get into a confrontation with law enforcement at some random place on the road and he pops out of the woods at that exact spot. Why? Because the script said so.
Well it is not easy to write a terrible script is it? How else it would be a disaster of a movie? :)

The scariest thing in this movie is Wesley’s hair cut.
I was just thinking the last thing a former military man who now lives in the woods will do is have a military-esq haircut.
Either it will be simple all over one length buzzed or gloriously unkemp, it will NOT be a hard to maintain and dorky only ever seen in the military or worse military movies style cut.
I just automatically dislike these types of movies where bunch of young people go into a cabin and do everything exactly the opposite how things should be done. It just ruins the movies.

When we were teenagers we would take water skiing ropes and surf boards to a bend the river to ride on the rapids. So I am sure people thought that about us hiking up the mountain trial with surf boards in the summer. We were just headed to the Rogue River in Oregon not too far from Grants Pass.

Im not going to lie usually most UFO films are a bit over-exaggerated except this one actually has the right theoretical idea of what goes on with these abductions instead of thinking your getting tortured. your getting tested in hallucinations to see what reaction one takes in certain circumstances. Leading to an answer for them whether your capable of being "upgraded" or not

Someone went on an acid trip, wrote nonsense down on a napkin, threw that napkin away when they sobered up, then a few days later the director found the napkin while they were at the dump disposing of the little common sense they had left, and made a total of 0 changes to the napkin story.
So the aliens are trying to improve them while they're being attacked and killed 🤔
Lets not forget that the aliens that can travel faster than light, have not researched kevlar or any balistic armor. And those kids brought surfboards into the woods.

Giving some people superpowers seems to be a good thing, I don't quite understand why the hunter hates the aliens. I would literally volunteer to be abducted and enhanced, even if it is painful.
