About City 17:
In a scene from Half-Life 2: Episode Two, the remains of City 17 can be seen from the countryside. A tornado-like vortex can be seen rising from what was the Citadel, and the center of the city is scattered with pieces of the Citadel. The outskirts of the city appear no less damaged and it is doubtful that there is anyone left alive in the ruins.

Someone make an Episode Two mod where you play as an only survivor of the Citadel’s explosion and have to make it out of the now-significantly destroyed City 17

There is already such a mod where Alix and I did not have time to get on the train and had to go down into the mines, after the explosion, getting out of the ruins, we leave the city

I liked how the image for episode 2 is the ruins of the Citadel itself, I never knew what it was when I started playing Half Life
pretty sick the core you secure in ep1 is the main reason for that portal vortex.

And this is payback for what the combine did to planet earth and still ongoing, yes they lost the citadel and there no way to open a portal to the overworld now abd call help. But there still combine oresent on earth and the with the help of the advasisors well it's hard to win, plus combine could be very well noe focus everything on the borealis get a portal open to their overworld with some help and they may achieve unlimited reinforcement
