Glad the yachts reviewed are getting much more accessible for us oil tycoons.
probably about to buy one of these! social work really paid off!
I was on board this yacht at Cannes and couldn’t help feel disappointed with how small the main salon felt because of the lifting keel. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts. I personally felt that the SWS 102 was a much better layout and having sailed her I was quite impressed. Again with SWS my concern would be the lack of twin rudder for stability, but Farr are now designing twin rudder hulls.
You could play a reasonable game of floor hockey on that huge deck!
Your recent videos have very poor image quality. What happened?
Once again - 'First Look' videos are just that. A first walk around a new boat at a boat show. Mostly shot on iPhones (this one was on a gimbal mount hence no wide angle lens). It's a quick opportunity for many people to see yachts they might not otherwise get the time or chance to get aboard. We are viewing/reporting on the yachts for the magazine - this is simply an extra if and when the time (and manufacturer) permits. We still try to do professional videos for our boat tests and how-tos etc. No time or budget to do professional vids for first looks
Not the right strategy Yachting World. Bring back the video quality you ones had or somebody else will take your place. It might come sooner than you think. UA-cam as a platform has evolved and there is less place for mediocre content.
@@dietrichwagner they also have a channel with paid content, why not go there?
Would you? Good evening to you Sir.
substandard video
What's wrong with zoom and hasty 200 degree turnarounds?
That's a very open deck. How do you handle a storm on the open seas being so exposed?
Have really secure life lines?
This is a Mediterranean yacht not suitable for long blue water cruising.
Please upgrade your camera... or at least learn about deinterlacing when you process the footage!
Waves are fine when sailing but not great on videos :D
Aidan Weatherill they’re using image stabilization software (which is pants) ... he needs proper gimble and optical stabilization

I would hard pass on uploading footage like this in the future, does not reflect well on your brand
@a w wow complaining about free content! What a fucking shithead you are!
Nice boat!
myself and probably most viewers wonder how this sail boat compares to other ocean crossing vessels ,if the price was taking out of the comparison .. or is this the one that other mono hauls are compared to ?
If you read the video title it says 'first look', did you fail to read it? Or was the words to hard to understand? If you went to collage, you should go back there and ask for a refund!
Did we see the main saloon?
I'll never understand winches at deck level on a flush deck.
Whatever happened to Tonys usual high standards? This is amateur stuff. Looks like it was shot on a mobile phone. Also he has started sounding like he's not really bothered in the last couple of reviews. Pull yourself together Tony, loads of people would love your job.
I need two immediately. One Atlantic based and the other based in the Far East.
Toby cant look at anything under $1 million lol 😂.... go big or go home 👋😋 ⛵️⛵️⛵️
I tried to get aboard and, where possible, shoot a quick first look for every new yacht I could this autumn. Most of these were at Cannes Boatshow, where it is mainly larger yachts, but there are recent vids for Figaro 3, Hanse 418, Eleva 50, Grand Soleil etc and more to come. Again, first looks are just quick walkthroughs for new yachts.
Such a terrible blur.....
Stop looking in a mirror then?
how do people afford these?
white collar crime, trust funds, purchased politicans and hedge funds.
All those uniform buttons in nice, neat, expedient rows at the helm...ugh.
