    So cool we can hear the engine sounds instead of stupid music.

    the boggest problem to me is the name, but once you get over it this is an italian naked bike to cruise around that actually looks good.
    And as proven by the sheer number of scambler sold people can say what they like, but there is a market for this sort of bike.
    Not everybody wants a transformer looking, rock hard suspended sportbike without a faering

    I would love a cafe racer version of this bike!

    I'm with you. I have the scrambler icon 803 and after owning it for 3 - 4 months I'm addicted to the special feel of riding this bike, its easy, fun ride, it's character & personality, and what you call its magicalness. I also have a 2021 street triple rs, which I'm crazy about, what a great bike, but a little less crazy about it since I've been riding the scrambler. And wondering if I moved up to the 1100 is it going to have the easy going fun ride of the 803... In my neck of the woods, southern arizona, dealers don't have demo bikes... you buy it, then you ride it

    Great video, really like these Ducati Scramblers. Maybe Tinkerbell will spread a bit of dust and make one appear for me, the 800 Icon will do

    I totally agree with you it should have had the full fat evo motor in it to make it worthwhile.

    It sounds like the engine on my old R1100GS. Torque over power. Nick J

    Think the new 120 scrambler is going to win this one.

    Sweet, but I still think my 803 cc scrambler hits the sweet spot, in terms of looks, weight and power.

    Ducati is following Honda's lead with the CB1100EX; big motor, low power.

    So it's basically an old-school air-cooled V-Twin. If that's what I wanted I'd just go buy a Harley. No thank you.

    Are all the Scrambler 1100s going to leave the factory with that giant loop of brake line coming out of the master cylinder?

    • @orangelion03
      @orangelion03 6 років тому

      Distracting, isnt it? I can only think that it was intentional, to give it another styling cue that connects it to a dirt bike??

    • @cordanez
      @cordanez 6 років тому

      orangelion03 Could be. I don't know vintage scramblers very well, so maybe that's the case.

      I ride a 20 year old 900ss, serviced every 2 years/5,000 miles and it runs great never gives me a problem. I thought the new Ducatis were supposed to be even better.

    2:50 mark is when we begin the Ducati-speak re character thst is "hard to put into words" journalist's have been using for yrs to justify paying more for less as the "new" engine makes less performance than the old monster. Also the H Bolt reference is lost on this bike.

  • @Jakalwarrior

    You guys puff it up to keep getting invited back by the manufacturer. All I hear is "The motor is a detuned
    and boring lump, it cant actually go off road, and its bleh. Its closest competition is a Harley."

  • @Showmetheevidence-

    This video convinced me this bike is definitely not on my hit list at all. So many better bikes than this on the market.
    A single OHC, and really low power for such a big bike, so where’s the tech?
    (No offence to the Bike Show, cos your videos are still cool)
    I wonder about all the people complaining about how expensive the Vitpilen is... try this ridiculous bike for ‘overpriced!’

      aren't all sportsbike?

    • @josech
      @josech 6 років тому

      Might be. Don't get me wrong, I like it, and I have test driven the smaller one. At the end of the day, for the money, I always lean towards adventure bikes that you can have 3 cases, go anywhere, have proper wind protection, etc.

    • @VittorioSergi
      @VittorioSergi 6 років тому

      same, and most of all I cannot forgive that tiny burning oven that is the ducati air cooled engines, I'm just saying that in all honesty most contemporary bikes are just unnecessary, who needs 140 hps on the street com'on?
      but bikers do love to buy with their guts so if ducati invested in such a market and sold so many of these that's proof that there are many people that would splurge for a nice looking bike rather than an uncofortable race monster.
      PS. If I had all the money i want i too would lean towards upright toury-bikes

    Why anyone with half a brain would choose this over a monster 821 if buying new is beyond me. 821 is cheaper to buy, way way longer valve intervals, better horsepower numbers, fully adjustable suspension on the 821stripe model, sounds better out the box. Like seriously, other than a nice styling piece, whats the point of this dumbed down 1100 evo engined thing?

    • @SuperTacticalcom
      @SuperTacticalcom 6 років тому +1

      You mean the new monster 821? Or what year are you specifically talking about?

    • @thinkdunson
      @thinkdunson 6 років тому

      i'm pretty sure the whole point is exactly what you said, styling.
      there are at least forty six thousand people willing to pay for style, and apparently, that's enough for duc to keep making them.

    • @Henlarious
      @Henlarious 6 років тому +3

      greg alford Maybe some people don’t like the look of the monster line. Ever think of that? 😂 The monster line is also larger and the sitting position is drastically different. But, I’m guessing you’re a kid who’s too immature to even ponder those factors.

    All I hear in this video is a reviewer doing his best to create words that don’t exist, constantly sensationalizing basic hohum statistics. Any bike that needs that much word pazaze tells me the bike is simply not all that special.
