I feel so mad about people saying The Run is a bad game. This game is so underrated, that's a masterpiece Need For Speed The Run was the last NFS game i played and literally kept wanting more at the end.
Most of these people are missing so bad the NFSs from NFS U1-Carbon. I mean these NFS are the best from Black Box but the nostalgia makes these people so toxic when they don`t see another NFS with Underground or Most Wanted name remastered. NFS World was basically the remaster of NFS Carbon and Most Wanted 2005 but not many people were liking the game because of the transactions and when the servers shut down in 2015 started to miss this game. And not many people know you can play with Soapbox World in 2020. The only NFS from Black Box that was made so badly was NFS Undercover and compared to NFS The Run. NFS The Run is way improved than NFS Undercover but customization is bit downgraded. Not gonna lie NFS The Run is in my top 5 my favourite NFS very underrated, short and unique NFS with beautiful graphics for 2011 game but the cars were pain to unlock and also there was unreleased DLC exclusive for consoles only - Italian pack (more cars, challenges, signature edition of cars that exist in PC version, more multiplayer playlists, despite the weekly ones are not available anymore that you could unlock really cool signature cars, Autolog to 40 level instead of 30). Man Black Box did the same thing as Criterion - released the cool stuff for the consoles the same way that they started back in 2002 when they developed NFS Hot Pursuit 2 for PS2. I mean the biggest problem why NFS downgraded after 2007 is because EA. Back in 1994-2002 EA made their games and after when Black Box joined NFS became more successful thanks to the 2 Fast 2 Furious movie which was based NFS U1. And after NFS MW 2005 EA started to become more and more greedy when NFS MW 2005 sold the most and NFS Carbon was the sequel of NFS MW 2005 but more rushed and NFS started to go downhill. When NFS Pro Street was introduced it kinda kill the francise because there wasn`t cops and illegal street racing and black Box was split on 2 when developed NFS Pro Street and NFS Undercover. Also Black Box tried to revive NFS MW 2005 but failed miserably. Criterion also seems they tried hard to revive NFS Hot Pursuit and NFS Most Wanted series to reboot but they did it in more Burnout style. But I was sad when I found out the concept of NFS MW 2012 was going to be an actual sequel but still to this day don`t understand why Criterion changed the concept and replaced everything with Burnout. Also multiplayer was the best part in this game but this game shouldn`t be called NFS MW. And Ghost with NFS Heat did something right but the game is rushed and it has lack of updates that the game is kinda dead if you ask some players who play the game. I mean no pvp match, no speedlists at launch same mistake Ghost did. I don`t know what will be the future of NFS but if EA is still available it won`t be good.

I loved this game to death and played it beginning to end several times over. This brought back so many memories and the music brought tears to my eyes.
The Run was a difficult choice for me wether I liked it or not. Yes, the driving felt awesome, the little descriptions of the characters were interesting, and I enjoyed the environments, but I hate the tight timers and constant restarting because I suck at under-pressure driving through tight spaces. I would spend literal days trying to complete a single level because I couldn’t cover enough ground in time, but I didn’t just want to stop. I don’t like the level-style progression or the extremely-difficult maneuvers where mistakes weren’t allowed, especially in the Make-Up time levels, but that’s just my opinion.
Man I played it once and didn't love it, but I can see if I had given it a good go and kinda mastered it like I did prostreet or midnight club la I'd have created a decent thrillride of an interactive movie type feel. It's good to see a pro play and show me an unfrustrated run of 'The Run'

God watching this brings back memories. I remember playing this when I was like 10 or 11 and the subway section was the bane of my existence. Watching it brought back all the panic and tension I had playing it myself. Probably one of my favourite and simultaneously most despised NFS games

This might be the best driving I have ever seen in a racing game! Absolutely crazy good. The dodging trains, the lane splitting oncoming traffic at top speed, the brushing the wall only like 3 times in the whole video. Insanely good!

NFS3 was the best. Hands down. Especially on PC, where you could mod the game to include more cars (including their dashboards/cockpits, engine sounds, etc). The pinnacle of the series. The new ones only wish they could be as good.
Still to this day I consider The Run to be the best looking in the series. But there is to much scripting. What I would have liked, is to see in this game the free roam just like in Hot Pursuit 2010. Could you imagine to do a casual ride all across the states with these graphics ? Yeah we do have The Crew and The Crew 2 but they don't look quite as good as The Run . This might be the best driving I have ever seen in a racing game! Absolutely crazy good. The dodging trains, the lane splitting oncoming traffic at top speed, the brushing the wall only like 3 times in the whole video. Insanely good!

A truly unique NFS game, going to replay it soon!This level and the snow stage were some of my favorite moments alongside the story; more of a mature / serious tone to the game which fitted very well.

NFS3 was the best. Hands down. Especially on PC, where you could mod the game to include more cars (including their dashboards/cockpits, engine sounds, etc). The pinnacle of the series. The new ones only wish they could be as good.

Still to this day I consider The Run to be the best looking in the series. But there is to much scripting. What I would have liked, is to see in this game the free roam just like in Hot Pursuit 2010. Could you imagine to do a casual ride all across the states with these graphics ? Yeah we do have The Crew and The Crew 2 but they don't look quite as good as The Run . By the way, The Run is on sale on Origin for 2.5 €
