- Troubleshooting and repairing the 2010 CVO Street glide drive by wire issues. Bike almost left us sitting at the bar. Made it home slowly but surely anyways. Had 2 codes in the computer. P1510, limited power mode, and P2138 Voltage correlation issue. Time to see what I can find on my own with help from a mechanic friend.
Carburetor, points, gravity fed fuel system, kick start and chain final drive. I love my 20th Century Harley Davidsons.
Same here......not moving past my 93 Evo.....nothing newer....
That’s why I’ll stay with my mid 90’s bike and you can include my automobile also
Have a 71 shovelhead, kick start, no problems
check the connector at the throttle body,it is a know issue for baggers of that "era"!!!!!!!!
Check the fuel lines in the tank. Mine did this same thing. Drove me crazy trying to figure it out .
If it acts up I will. Just got home a few minutes ago from an 80 mile ride with the wife. Put almost 300 miles on since the repair and the bike is running perfect. Thanks for the advice though.
I replaced the TPS harness a couple months ago. And seemed to solve the problem, but now it's dropping in limp mode again. I will check the harness under cowling thank you. 09 streetglide.
Anytime. I hope it helps.
I had issue with a wire been corrupted at the MAP sensor, the problem was sporadic and similar to your. The the wire was detected - by trying to pull each wire of the plug - one got snapped.
The system fontained with various error codes like TPS, CPS, VSS, etc.
Man Iam keeping my 2004 Yamaha roadstar, never has caused me any problems 😃
deoxit conact cleaner would be good for connections in the plugs.
Its a beautiful Bike - sounds like you were running lean if hot and back fire -
So far so good. Almost 300 miles since the repair and it’s been perfect. Hopefully it’s solved.
Had this problem on a 2009 ultra classic I found broken wires in harness between gas tank and fairing harness looked like it was pinching when turning to the right .opened harness and found 3 wires that was broke repaired wire in harness cleared code problem solved
Just got home from a short 80 mile ride with the wife. That’s almost 300 miles since I did the work and it’s been flawless. Hoping it’s good from here out. But if not I’ll look in that area. Thanks for the suggestions.
I had a 2010 cvo just like yours you need to check the lifters at 54000 miles they blew apart cheap lifters Harley had used
Interesting. I’ll mention that to my mechanic friend and cars and coffee next Sunday and see what his thoughts are on it. Probably cheaper to do now before they go.
Time to upgrade, trade it in on a Kove or a CF Moto.
Same problems for unwrecked bikes bought new. You can never trust them again. Overteched and overpriced Gold Wing wannabe's.
u went to poopys
Close. We were heading there. Ended up at a little burger joint on the right when you come into town from Iowa. It was a nice place. Good food. Cold beer.
