Hi everyone,
It´s more than a year since i last uploaded Steve Lukather song. So it´s about time to fix that. I picked up a song from his latest album Bridges (2023).
Kingdom of Desire and Mindfields are true masterpieces. I have listened to every single track on both albums for hundreds of hours.

Awesome cover and great choice. I really love this album. Fresh and classic. Wondering thought, if he played the outro solo with the neck pickup instead of the bridge...possibly even with the single coil version of the L3 or L4?

Its a nice tune, I still like older tunes of his like "born yesterday", "borrowed time". A thought on some of lukathers tunes, he's mentioned it himself in interviews, about his drug use, ..., definitely effected his performances. How much? Probably, only you might tell. I think it shows a bit when he seems to get a little lazy in his fingering. His latest performances, that might be due more to old age. Or a combination. Nice cover. You played in an eighties cover band. Your older than I thought you were. It explains the interest and also the professionalism in the covers.

Yes, i was in 80's cover band. We played together 10 years. Our last gig was around year 2015.
Those older Lukather songs are greatest but i have to day that i really like this new album too.
I thing luke's drugs and alchol abuse made more like a shredder not so melodic and tasty player what he use to be. Now he's back in the right track 😃👍🎸🎸
