The 2023 video came out right before I started my bearded joirney and it was my gateway to the channel and the bearded side of UA-cam in general. I remember being beyond confused with who these companies were and why grave before shave and cremo were not all over the video. It was the perfect thing to open my eyes to what a balm, butter, conditioner, etc. are, and what quality products look like. Since then, I've tried companies that were on the list and loved them, and I've tried companies that were not on the list and I've loved them as well. I never would have tried companies like deadmans, weatherbeard, octane, and many more, without videos like this; and I believe I am all the better for it. Keep it up Dan

These annual lists are a testament to how far the beard products industry has come in the last decade. You see a lot of seasoned veterans and newcomers making a huge impact in the beard game. The list is never the same, and each year sees different brands and products being showcased. Just want to say thank you to all these brands for working hard to provide the customers with the best! I'm sure we'll see brands making the list for next year, who weren't featured in this year's lineup. Best part of all, these brands are all small family owned businesses 👏❤!
Doctor Nick's Amazing Man Stuff truly has the best face wash out there, that butter truly is a magical miracle butter. Since my fiance started the face wash, AND even followed it up as a face moisturizer afterwards, her face has never been clearer and more soft. Wanna go crazier? it has been the best substitute as a MAKEUP PRIMER, yes MAKEUP PRIMER... That she's found. Using it with her makeup has made her application and her coating more smooth and clean than ever. And her dry red and flaky T zone spots are no more. It's the best in my beard too... BUY IT

Great list Dan! Sad to hear about beard octane’s Citrafella and Ginger jamboree going away. The citrafella LCW has been one of my dad’s Christmas gifts for the past 3 years! This year will be the last unfortunately. It’s a great butter!! Just haven’t found myself going to it as much as others in the last year. Shortened my list a tad. I need a good nighttime scent from them that I get addicted to
It’s pretty much 100% of the time essential oil base for beard butter for me, because I only use it at night. As they expand their EO options, I can absolutely see that being big this year

Dan, this is one of my favorite videos besides 12 days of beardsmess. You did a really great job and I was watching the whole video and saying I use that I use that one, oh I forgot about that one. But there was one company that did not make your list. That is in my list of best oil and butter which is Black rebel beer company. I know that they are not a company that you are working with right now, but they are absolutely amazing. You do amazing work and I appreciate you doing a video that you typically do not like doing. It's greatly appreciated. And yes you will be very pleased with copper John's head shampoo. It is the last thing that I switched to. It truly made the difference!

I was watching this like the Emmys/Oscars, rooting for Dr. Nicks in every category. I was sweating when you were going through the beard butters and was relieved when Dr. Nicks was finally announced at #5. The video confirms I made the right move. I’ll probably switch it up in the near future but right now I’m sticking with one company. It’s kinda like when everyone got Covid. I felt like I had to get matching vaccines when it didn’t matter. I know I’m weird like that. 🙄

The top 2 oils for me this year would be EDC (Himalayas) and Black Rebel (Dylan). My favorite butter (we agree on this) would be from Bahawat (Millionaire). The best daily wash I've ever used is from Mad Viking (Valhalla) which just edges out Beard Octane's LCW slightly. I don't really have a favorite conditioner because the ones I use pretty much work the same for me. Live Bearded's body wash, soap, and head shampoo (1880 or Tombstone) are my favorite. Finally, my favorite deodorant is any deodorant from Fable. They all work so well for me. Thanks for the video Dan. I like to see other people's thoughts about their best products of this year.
As usual, Dan, you bring up an important topic, and you’re right-we are our own worst enemies and the least objective judges of ourselves. Personally, I love this morning routine, and one day I’ll reach those 10inches I’m aiming for. Thank you for your advice, but above all, for your kindness.

I agree so much on all natural deodorant. I’m so happy I switched to all natural deodorants and wish I would have sooner. I even switched my 15 year old. Great list you put together and some amazing companies. Think I’ll need to snag one of those volt brushes for the stache since I haven’t heard of them before.

Great vid Dan! My biggest compliment getter in everything I wear niche colignes creed, naxos, etc, is Luxurious Bastard's Chakra Butter and Oil. Even a lesbian colleague goes crazy, no bs. All ancillary depts go crazy. I love Tobaccanist Bastard too to switch things up, and wear Naxos honey tobacco cologne with it. Love Dr Nick's unscented Butter as well.
The worst wash and conditioner is TBS, my beard feels like a hey bale. Totally strips all moisture out of my beard INCLUDING the Conditioner. I’m surprised my hair didn’t break off.i spent so much money on that company but, this was when I first started my beard maintenance routine but since then, watching your videos and others, I’ve educated myself on what to look for in the ingredients section. I do like FABLE products. But I will definitely try the products you have listed here.
I was huge fan of Beard Octane, after dropping ginger jamboree from their line I’m gonna have to find another company to go with. Ginger Jamboree is the only scent I ever got along with, that didn’t give me a headache, and just felt light and refreshing.
Hi Everyone! I could use some beard advice from the guru's; I'm going to be in Bali for 3 months soon and it's going to be their rainy season... this means very humid! I'm just wondering what kinds of beard products to get to prepare for a new climate. My beard is short-medium length, I don't grow it much longer than that. I currently use an oil, wash, conditioner and balm. Thank you!

I need help. I got some samples from a couple companies but here’s my problem. The live bearded company or whatever it’s called was great but the scent is too piercing for my nose and irritates it to the point of getting stopped up. I need something that is exceptionally mild in scent or something that isn’t so intense. They smell great but after a couple hours my nose starts getting stopped up and irritated.

It’s a great butter!! Just haven’t found myself going to it as much as others in the last year. Shortened my list a tad. I need a good nighttime scent from them that I get addicted to
I was going to say the same thing. IMO TNBC has the best butter on the market. I was kinda bummed not to see them on the butters list.
It’s pretty much 100% of the time essential oil base for beard butter for me, because I only use it at night. As they expand their EO options, I can absolutely see that being big this year

Dan, this is one of my favorite videos besides 12 days of beardsmess. You did a really great job and I was watching the whole video and saying I use that I use that one, oh I forgot about that one. But there was one company that did not make your list. That is in my list of best oil and butter which is Black rebel beer company. I know that they are not a company that you are working with right now, but they are absolutely amazing. You do amazing work and I appreciate you doing a video that you typically do not like doing. It's greatly appreciated. And yes you will be very pleased with copper John's head shampoo. It is the last thing that I switched to. It truly made the difference!

I was watching this like the Emmys/Oscars, rooting for Dr. Nicks in every category. I was sweating when you were going through the beard butters and was relieved when Dr. Nicks was finally announced at #5. The video confirms I made the right move. I’ll probably switch it up in the near future but right now I’m sticking with one company. It’s kinda like when everyone got Covid. I felt like I had to get matching vaccines when it didn’t matter. I know I’m weird like that. 🙄

The top 2 oils for me this year would be EDC (Himalayas) and Black Rebel (Dylan). My favorite butter (we agree on this) would be from Bahawat (Millionaire). The best daily wash I've ever used is from Mad Viking (Valhalla) which just edges out Beard Octane's LCW slightly. I don't really have a favorite conditioner because the ones I use pretty much work the same for me. Live Bearded's body wash, soap, and head shampoo (1880 or Tombstone) are my favorite. Finally, my favorite deodorant is any deodorant from Fable. They all work so well for me. Thanks for the video Dan. I like to see other people's thoughts about their best products of this year.

I agree so much on all natural deodorant. I’m so happy I switched to all natural deodorants and wish I would have sooner. I even switched my 15 year old. My biggest compliment getter in everything I wear niche colignes creed, naxos, etc, is Luxurious Bastard's Chakra Butter and Oil. Even a lesbian colleague goes crazy, no bs. All ancillary depts go crazy. I love Tobaccanist Bastard too to switch things up, and wear Naxos honey tobacco cologne with it.

The worst wash and conditioner is TBS, my beard feels like a hey bale. Totally strips all moisture out of my beard INCLUDING the Conditioner. I’m surprised my hair didn’t break off.i spent so much money on that company but, this was when I first started my beard maintenance routine but since then, watching your videos and others, I’ve educated myself on what to look for in the ingredients section. I do like FABLE products. But I will definitely try the products you have listed here.

I was huge fan of Beard Octane, after dropping ginger jamboree from their line I’m gonna have to find another company to go with. Ginger Jamboree is the only scent I ever got along with, that didn’t give me a headache, and just felt light and refreshing.

Hi Everyone! I could use some beard advice from the guru's; I'm going to be in Bali for 3 months soon and it's going to be their rainy season... this means very humid! I'm just wondering what kinds of beard products to get to prepare for a new climate. My beard is short-medium length, I don't grow it much longer than that. I currently use an oil, wash, conditioner and balm. Thank you!
I would just simply focus on oil and wash. In that climate go thin. Like pure essentials from Johnnie ray and any oil from beard octane

How is the consistency of bahawat beard butter compared to beard brand white line butter/balm? They look very similar in color and consistency.

I need help. I got some samples from a couple companies but here’s my problem. The live bearded company or whatever it’s called was great but the scent is too piercing for my nose and irritates it to the point of getting stopped up. I need something that is exceptionally mild in scent or something that isn’t so intense. They smell great but after a couple hours my nose starts getting stopped up and irritated.
Sounds like you need essential oils. Checkout a company like doctor nicks or volt. They are all essential oils
