Ran a couple of games so far. Been having a lot of success explaining the zones to new players using Professor Dungeoncraft's Ultimate Dungeon Terrain.
I don't do "Opposed" rolls on melee (as the rules suggest), unless its obviously a hand to hand brawl. If a PC is gonna stab an enemy that is spell casting for example, I wouldn't think the spell caster would be opposing the physical attack. If the D20 roll by the attacker fails, it means the spell caster dodged or the attacker lost his balance. I watched your excellent video to clarify this, and I'm not going to change this. I think "Opposed" rolls on melee would just make the battles a little more clunky or impede game flow.
So can i add a permanent language to my character after the game has started? I had the option to add it during creation but for some reason didnt, but ive changed my mind. Would that be allowed? Ive just started playing for the first time so im learning as i go.
One of the best and most comprehensive overviews of how to play the 2d20 system and A!C2d20. Well done!
Oh hey, that means a lot. Thank you very much.
Excellent video! Thanks for helping break this down. My starter set just came in the mail today!

Great review - tells me everything I need to know, and sounds like a fab system. Thankyou!
Thank you for a great explanation video. I will be running operation kindling for Free RPG day June 24th.
Glad it was helpful!
Good vid. Very informative and helps me better understand how to play AC 2d20.

if the game master is chill I dont see why not. Just tell them that you forgot about it during creation.
