I was broken and alcoholic and going through separation + divorce. I was given a copy of Wild at Heart. The next 20 years have been an amazing rollercoaster ride with Jesus at the helm. As a father of 4 beautiful girls and a Husband to an amazing Godly woman. I couldn't stop but think of the countless times I've spent on the river wishing I had another male to do life with.
I lost my father at the young age of 11 and grew up trying to figure out what it means to be a man after God's own heart. I'm realizing that I am holding on to unresolved trauma that is pouring out in my relationships.
I am looking forward to hearing the stories of healing and restoration. I appreciate you and this project so much.

Interesting. Wish I had access to speak to you about this. I am a 20 year soldier spending the last 10 years of that in special operations. I agree. We need broken men to be healed and become good men. I was very broken and had an encounter with God in a moment that saved me.

@@hannavanderberg1673 Jesus never wasted time. In fact he ignored people a lot more than people realize. He was never chasing people down that weren't ready to be. He wasn't chasing after the distracted. Making podcast about teaching people to make time for God is pathetic. They obviously don't want anything to do with God at that level so how about give all your strength and time to those who are pursing God wholeheartedly.... Idk maybe its me or maybe its something to with not casting your pearl before swine...

Thank you for writing this book. It has helped me so much. I lost my dad now about 9 years ago. Shorlty after i turned to alcohol, i was broken, angry, lost, and alone. I was just a little boy still in a grown mans body. Your book helped me find my way back into a relationship with God. To take a look at myself, my life, my relationship with my earthly father. It brought a lot of healing . Long story short iam healing still and working on things, but God has blessed me with a wonderful wife and a daughter. Also my sister and neice live with us. It is such a honor and a blessing to be husband and father. I wouldnt be where i am with out this book, so again thank you!!

Last year, Wild At Heart inspired me to take the first of many solo trips into the Appalachian mountains just to get alone, pray and connect with my soul. I recommend every man do this.
