if you stick your stylus arms side of the decks up furthest away from you it's much easier to manipulate the vinyl to blend and cut and scratch and subtley adjust the tempo of your vinyls (when beats are out of sync you need to use your fingers to slow or push the vinyl a bit on the slipmat to match it up more subtley not just use your mixer) without the stylus arm getting in the way... the pitch control is more intuitive to use once you turn them round that way too
Battle DJ setup from way back
Hi! Used to have that way of set up until my Pt.5, it was nice that stylus arms are not getting in the way but harder to reach out pitch control and thought it was a bit inconvenient for me. I think for me it is just a matter of pitch control technic. The issue is I am not noticing when pitch starts to become out of sync. Need more practice and earn the technics! I did not grow up with DMC DJ world. I still have no idea how they do it. Would love to dive into the culture eventually. Thank you for your suggestion.
