I always felt Budden had the best verse on this. His bars had the most depth, but i think his delivery makes them hit harder, it's like slow and precise and demands attention. Makes the lines hit that much harder. I think i have him and Em tied. Em just goes off the rails too much

@Wesley I like the alphabet scheme he did too, even though it's played out, he executed it better than most. "The microphone/phone booth, superman in this bitch kryptonite won't do" line was kinda hard too. I just feel like the way he sets up his bars is very carefully crafted. Where he places certain words and all that. The wacky shock value shit doesn't do it for me anymore but it's kinda like his signature thing at this point so it doesn't bother me.

@dizzyb230 it's just personal preference bud. Honestly they all had 2-3 dope lines at best and they all had some corny lines too. Only one I think didn't miss was Joe. Crooks verse was mainly just the crazy rhyme scheme and cadence but he wasn't saying much at all except the big picture and beanie/holster lines were hard. Royce had some corny lines like "we rock out like the outside of a guitar school" that was lame. They both had almost the same Will Smith pun which we've all heard before. Yelawolf didn't really say shit. Eminem said a lot of wack shit too but it was the most creative and original atleast in my opinion. I'll change my mind on them being tied though, I think Joe undeniably had the best verse.

Nah you aren't wrong. Some artist are top-tier at freestyles and writing rhymes but can't write a good song to save their life. I think Joe Budden has some good songs, but most of them I easily pass on. But he can absolutely spit. I think Eminem even has that problem, though he obviously has hits. But some of his songs just don't hit for me at all, and I think they are terrible, but even in those terrible songs he has good lines. I think freestyling just gives the artist complete freedom. And just because you can write insane verses, doesn't at all mean you can write hooks and choruses, or know how to pick a beat. Which is a HUGE issue I have with many Eminem songs. Many great verses, but holy hell the beats are/or hooks are abysmal. I also think its why slaughterhouse never blew up. Because no one denies the talent when they do freestyles but it never translates into people liking their music.
