I need prayers, I’m starting to go through the seasons of getting bored, and I truly hate it when I get this way because I start to get to a point where I’m not touching my Bible and it sometimes last for a year to two years, please pray that I stay focused on Christ! Thank you and God bless my brothers and sisters in Christ!

Bobby Dillashaw You need encouragement. Do you go to church? Do you have anyone to study with? The bible says its important for us to go to church and to meet with one another to encourage and stir each other up in our faith.
Meeting with other Christians regularly is helpful and prayer helps too. Ask God to guide you in His word and make it a habit every morning or evening, I started off by giving thanks during dinner time, it may sound small and you may think that it does nothing but I tell you the truth, the enemy doesn't like it. He doesn't want you giving thanks and praise and glory to God period.
I hadn't come to realise the power of prayer until I had decided to make this a daily thing. I noticed over time after i had made this decision to give thanks EVERY night to God. One day i had finished work, pretty much ate nothing all day and i was hungry and i was thinking about what to eat for dinner and then out of nowhere my appetite just went and I didn't understand why. Just out of nowhere it was like something said to me, "I don't want to eat dinner". I knew that this was the enemy not wanting me to eat cos he knew I was going to give thanks to the lord and the food i was about to eat was blessed. That's the thing, he knew what I was about to do because I made this a daily habit. Its almost like its torcherous for the enemy to hear you praising god. So after that i decided to start giving thanks during breakfast as well lol little by little you start spreading Gods word into other areas of your life and applying it daily. I started praying for all kinds of stuff mostly guidance through Gods word. Then I started reading my bible and meditating on Gods word. So what I'm trying to say is, it may seem like a small thing to do to give thanks over dinnertime and it may seem like it doesn't do anything. The devil is a liar. So I encourage you to start with prayer. Start praying every morning, everyday and watch different sermons on UA-cam as well. TD Jakes really helped me. His sermons I found are really encouraging. There's tonnes of them online. Anyway, I hope this helps you, I pray God guides in His word the way that He has with me in Jesus name. My walk with Him its still early days, but I've received so much from Him so far. Its just revelation after revelation, its awesome! Anyway god bless :)

Mel Mel haven’t found a church yet but there is one I recently checked out, I’m just in awe of the churches out here, they are huge which is one of the things that keeping me from going, just not use to gigantic churches, I feel uncomfortable I guess you could say, but as for praying, that’s been a part of my life for many years, I even got the kids knowing before I sit down that they wait to pray before eating 😀, also I don’t know anyone out here yet. But yes, when I used to do bible study with my friends, I was consistent and had the support I needed, thanks for your reply brother, you are right, I need a church home!

@@bobdillashaw4360 Its been 4 months now. Have you tried out some churches? If not maybe try thinking about it in this way:
If you are nervous and uncomfortable I think that's completley fine. It will mean that much more in the eyes of God that you do it. I think the strongest faith is when you do things that are difficult in the name of God. That's my opinion on it. I am very new to christianity but give it a shot. What could go wrong!?
Btw I had expected to go to church by myself for the first time last Sunday. I had only went one other time years ago with my mom. When I woke up Sunday morning I was feeling a little under the weather and decided not to. Partially that was the reason why I didnt go but a big reason was I was intimidated. I knew the opening hours started at 800am as the website said but for the exact sermons it was vague. Just before 12:00pm I felt much better and was on my way to the mall. I decided I needed to go at least drop by and ask someone there the exact times so next time I was prepared. I went there and the doors were locked. It was sort of a strange feeling like I missed out. Someone drove by and stopped. Really friendly man who answered a couple of questions I had. Now next Sunday I'm more prepared. How about dropping by not to attend a service but to get the times of sermon. That way it wont feel like you're diving head first in an ocean but dipping your toes in a pool lol

Hi, Bob! Big churches can be very intimidating-I know! Join a community group/sometimes called homegroup at your church. You'll be hanging out every week with 5 or more Christians and discussing the Word and praying for each other etc. I wouldn't even call going to church on Sundays even being part of that church, especially if it's a big church. Once you've joined a homegroup, you can start exploring how you can serve 😊

I really enjoyed this series. I've been born again for many years. There really isn't anything mentioned that I haven't been doing already. However, I have to confess, over the years, I have experienced a dry time when studying the bible. I have asked the Lord to reignite the passion i once had, restore my hunger for him. Be honest with God. He really does understand our weakness.

I have been a Christian my whole life(I am 38), very lukewarm for the past 24 years. I have always loved and believed in God, I feel like I have been saved about 2 weeks ago. I am still trying to play catch up on the bible and the word of God. I feel like I am about a 2 or close to 3.

This series is helping me so much! I especially like the teaching on the armor of God; never understood it before. Also, the teaching about salvation, if we are convicted of sin, if we want to please God, etc, are signs we are saved. I know I am saved but have been struggling with doubt recently. Not doubt in God, doubt in my sincerity. This series has helped me see that, though not perfect, I am on the right track. Such a relief and freedom that comes with that. God bless you brother Allen and may you never leave your UA-cam channel, you are helping me and others so much.

Those who are still in level 1, I advised you to listen intently to the bible teacher or speaker. Don't jot down what they are teaching nor copy what they are writing, just listen carefully and intently. If what they are teaching is genuine then the Holy Spirit will remind you when you need it on the spot. As a Sunday school teacher for 12 years, I had observed that those who listen intently are more advance than those who are copying or jotting down what has been taught. This experienced of mine was backed up by a scripture: Romans 10:17, " Faith comes by hearing the word of God.." not by writing or jotting down.

Depends. I am not an auditory learner. I am visual and kinesthetic. Which means I learn by reading and doing.
Taking notes helps me remember what I hear because I’m moving my hand and reading as I write.
Not everyone learns the same way.

      Fanci McGuffin
Yeah, very well if you are stereo minded then that's it. But most men are monominded, means they can only concentrate to one direction. It's either to write or listen. Of course I can't memorize every speaker says but as long as I can receive the life of their teaching then that's it. I can only remember when I need it. I tried jotting down when I'm a new convert. I can study my notes later and teach it but it has no life already. That's when God showed me scripture in my dream (Romans 10:17). From then on I just listen intently and accurately. Maybe in your case it's different, you are a good administrator or manager if you can do 2 different things at the same time with your body.

I've always been a believer and I used to be at a level 5 or 6, but whenever I picked up my bible it just seemed like I was going through the motions after a while. I haven't lost my belief or my salvation, but my faith has been taking hits lately. I don't know God's purpose for my life and I feel I am just filler. I could really use a prayer or two.

Hi Brother in Christ, Matt here. I just wanted to added this scripture about the Armour of God. It's in Isaiah 59:15-21. This word was given to the prophet Isaiah during the time when God had seen that sin was rampart (spreading) throughout Israel.
I think this verse ties in quite nicely with the Armour of God in Ephesians 6.

•Ultimate Weapon: Sword of the Spirit•
Levels of relatioship with word of God:
1.) Recieving the word (including: sermons, bible study, small group, youtube, christian radio)
2.) Reading the word (including: Daily Devotional, Proverb of the day, Bible reading plan)
3.) Researching the word (including: You have a regular Time with God, You know how to use advanced Bible study Tools)
4.) Reflecting the word (including: Meditation, Strong Cosideration, Journaling, Wrestling with the word, How does it apply to me?
5.) Recalling the word (including: Holy spirit reminds you what you've read, Make decisions based on the word of God)
    John 14:26 (NIV)
"But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you Everything I have said to you."
    6.) Responding to the word
    James 1:22-25 (NIV)
Do not merely listen to the word, and so decieve yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it-not forgetting what they have heard but doing it-They will be blessed in what they do."

Hey Allen so I have been searching and I may ask my pastor but I don’t know if I’m comfortable enough to do it. My name is Brady and I’m 14 years old. I have been dating a girl for awhile now but she doesn’t believe in god. This troubles me sometimes as I don’t always wanna date someone who doesn’t believe in god but I feel like it was my calling to bring her into Christianity and I need help because she’s super stubborn. Do you have any tips? I would appreciate anything

Hi I would advise you to end the relationship on the basis of verse in the bible which says that you should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. You could always become her boyfriend again, after she becomes a christian - but for now it's not spiritually healthy for you to continue in this relationship. I know it's not easy, but you have to break up with her. If you can't, then try to fast and pray and ask God to give you the strength to be obedient to His word. I feel it with you as I know what you going through.

Help. Recently joined church and the army of God. Well the minister announced yesterday he would perform gay weddings. I sought refuge from LGBTI in the church... but it's in church now. Help. What do I do? I cannot continue in this church as much as it breaks my heart.

Hey kylee, I’m not sure if this will help and if I’m wrong some please correct me, but what I would do is leave that church and try to find one that teaches biblically and practice biblically, and during the process I would keep reading and studying the Bible and pray for guidance from God. Also while you are searching you can try listening to online sermons like John MacArthur from Grace To You Ministries, or John Piper Desiring God, or Charles Spurgeon. I will keep you in my prayers. God bless

I need advice. I have one of the most relentlessly unpleasant men I’ve ever known as a son-in-law.
After 13 years of marriage my daughter is broken and bitter.
He claims he’s a Christian. He supposedly rededicated his life just recently.
In your opinion is it wrong to pray for a complete personality change in him?
I’m not exaggerating-when I say he is one of the most unlikable people I’ve ever known.

What's their problem? Had you tried to stepped in in ask them both if what's goin on? If not yet then how about if you treat your son-in-law alone to a coffee or lunch and try to talk to him. Try to talk to him as a friend not as your daughter's husband. Maybe he can share why he's so unpleasant and grab the opportunity to offer him your advise. And yes, you can pray to God to change him since we have no power to change anyone.

I can imagine how hard your daughter's life is. If you had tried everything but no change then try to investigate your son-in-law's past. Maybe his past before he was married has something to do with that attitude. How he was treated and how he grow has a big impact of what he is now. Maybe he has unforgiveness or biterness in his heart. My first son is very rude and impatient toward her sister, when I investigated he was bullied in school from elementary to high school. From then on, we prayed for him to be able to forgive and we are loving him even more. But until now, the after shocked of that attitude was still in him so we kept on praying. Don't lose hope Fanci, kept on praying and love him even more. If time comes that he will hurt your daughter, talk to his family and bring him to a mental doctor.
