This process assumes that the entity that you want to register as its registered representative has a tax number and a company number. A home owners association can be a voluntary association, formed at common law, and would not subject to the statutory requirements of a homeowners association that is registered as a NPC and which has then to be registed with the CIPC. The CIPC, as I understand it, issues a NPC with both a company and a tax number. How then than a voluntary HOA then register with SARS? How can I register as its registered representative?
I've been getting an error message "-The Tax Reference and ID Numbers captured do not correspond" everyday I try, I thought I was system issues but now it's been some time. Any idea or solution on his one please?

Even though the company is dormant I still want to keep it for any future opportunities. I just registered the company on E filing. and everything is inactive as I need to register a representative. I will be the representative, so do I have to choose "main member or public officer" as you did in this video?

Good day, I am trying to add myself as a representative but I am getting this pop up message, "Our records indicate that no active registration exists for the Legal Entity on eFiling. To use this functionality, you must successfully register one or more of the legal entity tax references against your profile". I've just added my company for efiling but couldn't select the types of taxes because I wasn't added as a representative and now I am trying to add myself and getting this.

Can i as the company owner appoint myself as the registered representative? And if I am the owner/registered representative do I need to write a letter of appointment on behalf of myself?
What needs a persone next step if the process refuses to sumbit because they say The company's tax number is already in a change of registered representative case??

hi, yes I believe that should be fine so long as you have the resolution appointing you and the other relevant documents. I would think you can be a public officer if the documents appoint you as such.

You have to wait for it to be finalised and then remove on efiling and start the process again
