Just watched the video where you changed the battery in the 4x4 it popped upon my feed can’t remember the name of it so I’ll just say it here - gotta like a girl who isn’t afraid and has a crack at anything much admiration to you Krissy. Your use of the Aussie lingo is great as well you have embraced Australia. Good on you for living your dream it’s uplifting to watch ! Love watching your content always great viewing - thank you for sharing Krissy 😊 PS: Those flying bugs are 100% Termites or White Ants correct name is Alates they are the princess termites released from the nest on very humid still nights in summer they swarm at night when there are no predators around birds the ordinary black ant loves to carry them away to eat they drop their wings after landing and find a suitable habitat to start a new colony they swarm in the millions and will eat most timber that is not treated as well as paper and cardboard millions die during this process but it only takes one to start a new nest - I’m a former pest technician had my own business - thought you’d like to know 🙂
Have never seen a video from you that I didn't like! When you first headed out and came to the washout, I was think NO she's not, but yes you did lol. Nice to see a bit bigger piece. Take care out there, look forward to the next hunt.
Thks Chrissy. That was a lot of rain. Was happy it wasn’t anymore it was getting close to your veggies. I was surprised to see two chickens and 3 cattle around your camp. Plus those flying insects mating some were flying looking for a mate. We get flying ants once a year. Good to see you finding a few nuggets. Looking forward to you checking out hills you were pointing to on your last outing. Best of wishes for more gold. Your a tough outdoors lady. 🥰
Another entertaining video. So thanks for getting Sunday morning to a good start. I always feel like jumping into a 4x4, swinging a GPX 6000 & coming home with some gold. Thanks again..
What a change of scenery with the rain in your area. Such a nice gold hunt. Fun to see different camp life Krissy. Thanks for taking the time to share. Best wishes, Deb
Have followed you for a while now... love the content and sharing your adventures... if you can make it out here in the Aussie outback, you can make it anywhere! It’s so nice to see you have fallen in love with our country. Welcome to the family! Hope you find a whopper out there today! And yes, the ants wing once a year here, Ive always thought they were termites taking wing to find a new place to build a home, with some whooo haaaaa on the way ;) but don’t quote me on that. It even happens in the cities, usually on the first hottest night of the year I’ve noticed, sure better shut your windows! Go get the gold!

Well I always said outback gold fever reigns now it seems so does the weather keep posting Krissy you shine as bright as any nugget. I have been away for a few weeks so it's been fun catching up .
It’s amazing how the frogs start after the rain …in magnet our back creek sounds like a symphony after good rain ..I hope the nuggets keep coming for you Krissy
Krissy you are one in a million to be all by yourself, in a hot Australia! You are a go getter and much appreciated sharing your story with all of us. I want to thank you for your time and patience with us tagging along. Great video. Thumbs up!
You got some nice finds there. Good job Krissy. Take that rain when you can it may stop and not rain for several months. It will soon be so hot you'll want that cool again. Good luck and good hunting. 👍♥️♥️
Going from the stuff dreams are made of to the stuff of nightmares was interesting 😂😅 I really enjoy seeing all sides of the adventure, great video as always!
Howdy from Texas! Our termite alates are about half of what you had there on your hand. That’s massive. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I was always used to the sound of happy frogs, but what you showed us is plain creepy. Low pitch with slow repetitions. Stay safe out there Krissy, please!
That was a fun one! WOW, the frogs are crazy, and the bugs, holy moly!! What a great time that looks like. 🙂. Good save at the pond, haha. Watching from the Rockies in Canada
Back on the gold well done Krissy but all that rain wow though out there it is vital for those living off grid. I had 5ml last week but need more as the ground is so dry and splitting open lucky we have 2 water tanks and getting a plumber in to install a new pump on the bigger tank soon. Take care and hope to see some larger nuggets soon 😁
All those termites are amazing. They do that in the Northern hemisphere as well. First good rain and jump in humidity after summer and the colony kicks all the flying males and females out. They drop wings as soon as they land and start chasing potential mates.
Cracking Gold Krissy ... My hens are similarly daft when it rains hard , they get sopping wet then look at you like you did it on purpose....theyre good company when youre turning stones over and tidying round..they love a bit of foraging It always amazes me how it can be so dry in Australia and yet when it rains ...oh boy does it bucket down. Looking forward to next weeks video.
Hi Krissy. Those flying insects are flying termites. Love the sound of the bush after the rain. Great gold. Nice vid. PS. I’m in WA. Just driven from Brisbane to Perth. 4 1/2 days.
Krissy, you took me back today to when I had properties over on the East Coast..... That rough living, managing water, pumps, machinery....Watching the video, I was quite nostalgic for a while... I don't miss the insects though.. all those white ants flying around in the humidity, always manging to find an entrypoint into the quarters. Great to see some rain out there, should expose some more nuggets?? I hope so. As always, Take care.!

Great video as usual. You have fresh eggs, home baked bread and some gold, another great day out. That was an excellent slip recovery, had it been me, I would have been in the water for sure. Thanks for your efforts Krissy.
Great catching up on your adventures krissy. Those outback insects certanly come alive at night crazy! Congrats on your gold and hope you get a huge patch soon. Best of luck from bonnie scotland
I'll tell you what I do with the bugs Krissy , get one of those insect light zappers & set up a decent vacuum cleaner just on it (going ) and the bugs end up in the Vac , only way to go ,otherwise u end up knee deep in bugs, they seem to thin out late at night
Great job on the gold. Quiet the rain. I'm in 12 inches of snow and waiting for 4 more inches. The frog noise was great but they call me toad. I wonder if that bug is what we call a mayfly. Blessings young lady
For as hot and dry as you say that it it out there, you have an amazing amount of wildlife.!!! You have these flies, from lastnight flying about your porch light, and then you have flies all about your face as you are out detecting. Then during the rainy seasons, ypu have frogs singing all the shoreline of your small flowing creek too. You have not shown the Kangoroo yet, but im sure they must be somewhere else, from where you are living, and detecting. B-Strong, B n Christ.
Oh yer, forgot to add, I have used my DD coil with my 6000 and apart from feeling way to heavy to start with you get used to that and it really does reduce the EMI dramatically, you loose a bit of depth but cover a larger area as it is so much larger in circumference and you have a pin pointer so finding your target will be easy, give it a go I think you will be happy when the storms are around. Leon
