The fight is not over. Aboriginal people have lost the battle but will win the war in the end because sovereignty will never be ceded nor extinguished forever and ever!!!

You know what REALLY pisses me and so many people off?????
The greenies and leftists all say
      "Listen to indigenous peoples..."
Well take their genuine advice and wisdom and do friggin BACK-BURNING and SAVE people and property and endangered Wildlife from Bushfires!!!!!!!!
Leftists who say this and then prevent BACK-BURNING are absolute hypocrites!!!!
Also, if they really cared about genuine indigenous suffering
They'd call for more support into what John Howard did in 2007 with his great Intervention that saved 16,000 indigenous kids from sex abuse in outback communities!
And what we really need is a great constitution that respects all peoples with all rights like speech, information, privacy, defence of self and home, property, due process, voting, fair trials, movement, etc
And not an Orwellian thing that state that some people are more equal than others
      So no
No group deserves this advisory department based on race or racial heritage
      One rule for all
That's what the true new republic construction should be all about
As for conserving sacred sites and nature - I'm sure we can all agree on that, only that all should have the right to explore and roam them like the blue mountains and Daintree and so on

Hi I am assuming that the subtitles were completed by some sort of computer software?? Considering the importance and out of respect it might be worth amending some crucial typos. I only turned on the subtitles when Kirsty Gover was speaking, and the times she referred to the Uluru statement it was spelt as; oil aroo, ulluh rule, honorary and finally Illinois, perhaps revisiting the entirety of this talk to amend the subtitles would be worthwhile and respectful.

we have copied the Uluru Statement from the Heart last week (September 2018) and attached a petition to it to be signed by at least 1000 people in our small community in NIMBIN NSW. Then we will send it to Canberra. This is the LEAST we can do to support this crucial process. Maybe ALL towns and villages can copy the Uluru statement and attach a petition?

It is one thing to be in favour of conserving cultural rights within reason (not rituals forced on unwilling participants) and conserving land with exceptions such as the Kakadu mine as that uranium is vital for hospitals MRI and cancer patients
But to give one group a voice based on racial heritage
      No way
It needs to be one rule for all
Now I'm all in favour of constutional change for a two term leader republic
Protection of speech, due process, fair trial, end of double jeopardy, right to self defence and right to protest, etc
Hell even have free treatment for the dying included
But no way a voice in parliament for any one group other than those elected by the majority of the people
Though I will say, better constitutional procedures to remove the corrupt and incapable via impeachment and laws that prevent what dan Andrews has done and have backburning guaranteed on federal law to prevent future horrendously bad fires would indeed be awesome 👍
