If the bearings were stationary and the rails moved, the extension could be pushed out of the way when not in use instead of the rail always sticking out in front of the saw.

I see one with the ruler link you provide but am looking for the ones you use to stop the bearings on the rail or for extruded aluminum tracks. Thanks!
You can make a great looking sliding table for your saw but you can't make a damn push stick so you don't lose a thumb? I love the build, but safety is why we all get to go home with all of our body parts at the end of the day.
