spent 5 days here in May and the hotel is by far one of the best i have ever stayed at. the only downside is that basically by 830pm at night the hotel is completley dead
I loved staying in Kauai but you are correct about the walking at this hotel but the others are similar in that respect I found likely due to the island being protected... although I don't think it's that different from the other hotels on Maui in the distance when walking around the hotel except for Maui is busier thus giving your eyes more to see and ears more to convos to listen to. But that's just the Garden aisle period. It's very beautiful and I loved exploring it.

Bidets will become increasingly common place in higher end resorts and eventually an expectation. Use that concierge service. Ask for things to do and tips to get around the property as well as the area.
Stayed there with my new wife (got married on the island) in 1997. We loved it! Your video was great to watch. It seems the hotel remained the same throughout all these years. The chandelier in the lobby brought me right back to 1997 again. Question: is the Stevenson Library still there? They used to-- on a daily basis--replay a Hurricane video (not sure which one) that severely damaged the hotel and island.
Thanks Eric! They call it "Stevenson's Sushi & Spirits" -- I think it was under construction when we visited which is why it didn't make it in the video
We did enjoy our stay. We could not have imagined the resort being any more beautiful. We ate off property a few times and it was only a 5-10 minute drive to Poipu or Koloa. We did not mind at all not being on a swim-able beach and we loved the size of the facility so we would give it 5 tofers!
Great review. Thank you. Say Hi to Topher for me! I am heading to kaui this march. My question Is this hotel now called Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu, Autograph Collection? The reason I ask is because that is were I am staying and I read somewhere that it was the Grand Hyatt.
I'm sorry, but this is not very nice for $700 per night. You are really paying for the pools. We get much nicer rooms with full kitchens by reserving a condo at Waipouli Beach Resort through Vrbo. The place has beautiful grounds, pools, and a restaurant right on the beach for less than half the price.
At the end you say 'click here or click here' for other travel guides from Kauai. You point to the upper left and upper right. But the box in the upper left is a guide for Fukuoka! Otherwise the review would get 5 Tophers :)
Hah! Ya know why? Because at the time I uploaded this I only had one other Kauai video... so what you saw as the Fukuoka video was UA-cam giving you the "Best for the viewer" -- if you watch it now it'll have 2 Kauai vids! :)
Your videos are well-produced and informative. It's shocking how many other travels videos are unable to do one or the other.
stayed here seven days with kids and grand kids loved it loved the salt water pool hope maybe one day e can go back

Love this resort! Perfect for kids!
Great video! We’re excited to visit in January 2022.

The resort looks quite nice especially with the view of the ocean! If I head to Kauai, I'll have to keep this resort in mind. Thanks for the video!
I think it's one of the best on the Island!
Your pet dog teddy bear is a nice addition to the channel

Stayed here a few years ago and really loved it!
Stayed there in November and it was amazing!
Nice!
Did you happen to stop by the Sheraton? Any thoughts?
I was at the beach in front of the Sheraton. I think it looked good from the outside. Good location on the beach.

I hope so! I like my fancy toilets! :)
I would like to see the Ali I suite or royal suite tour.

Thanks Damian... nope... that's a different hotel. About a 5 minute drive away from the Hyatt.
Love this property. A bit pricey but that’s ok if the service is good! 4.5 stars for me.
No arguments here :)
Very helpful!
Thanks Kim!
