Shel is a great find as a teacher; her pronunciation is, at least, to my ears, the best for comprehension. Others within the Dreaming Spanish teaching community are equally super, but Shel just seems to go that extra mile and makes exceptional videos with amazing topics and, above all, says the words so clearly. With her and the many other great teachers, I know I will make incredible advances in my quest to learn Spanish. Thank you!
I’m a baker and I am learning Spanish to speak with my co-workers. Your videos are great and make it easy to learn. Being able to enjoy conversation with them has been super fun. If I may, can I put in a request for a video about baking bread?
Gracias Shel! Cuando yo fui a Santa Marta, tuve un tour en Minca y visité una granja de chocolate en la que podemos hacer chocolate de mano, fue delicioso!
This episode is more difficult than most of the other beginner videos. But it’s the first time I’ve seen the chocolate making process and it is exciting to be able to follow along somewhat. Definitely need a translation, though. Thank you for these videos!
I liked this. I have a comment. I am watching videos in order from the latest posted ( most recent) then going forward. I have watched about 15 videos. I have learned spanish traditionally in the past. I skip ones not that interesting but watch most of them regardless of level. I watch the clip and use "language reactor" which provides subtitles that one can click on and see the word or phrase. I don't read the subtitle. I know that is the principal eg watch and don't memorise and it will sink in. However, I like to see the words that I don't know and language reactor allows this to be done in a quick hover over the subtitles. The two words I did not know were the name of the corn head, to store as a verb and a few others. I just observed them and tried to use a nmomic picture to remember but only 10 seconds. Any comments on this. I read and speak Spanish but my speaking is poor relative to my speaking so I am going to focus on CI but I am finding I can't not look up words. Any views?

A video on coffee would be great! This video was very entertaining.

A tour of El Eje Cafitero would be cool…
Sé español. Veo a Shelcin porque, por alguna razón, la veo y me da hambre.
Just to be more exact, what served as currency for the Mexica and Mayans were the cocoa beans or seeds, not the chocolate itself. 🍫
