    I turned the screen off on my phone and forgot youtube was playing, 20 minutes later and Im looking around my house like a madman trying to figure out who's backing a truck up at 2 in the morning, phone in hand. Turns out this vid was autoplaying and I just about went crazy till I turned it in to check a text lmao. Thought someone might get a kick out of that.

    A very good operator on an excellent machine! Did everyone notice all the machines were Caterpillar. This company buys the best for their employees! No disrespect towards other manufactures, but nobody can top the service & most importantly the parts availability of the CAT dealership network! Time is money when the machine is down, that's just a fact, period!!!

    Very nice work with that plow. You handled those corners very well. But I think that plow could use some adjustments. Based off the noise and spark I think you need to raise the plow from the base holders a little more so your blade lasts longer

    • @ockeyboys4579
      @ockeyboys4579 5 років тому +3

      It’s floating over the road it it isn’t sparking he’s not plowing right. There’s no point in plowing if he doesn’t get the surface ice off. I run a bigger loader than that everyday and when I drop my bucket to get material sparks go flying just happens

    • @Dragoslance
      @Dragoslance 5 років тому +1

      @@ockeyboys4579 I could understand like dropping it a scraping a little but almost constant sparking usually is a bad sign the the plow/scraper/bucket is too low and needs to be brought up a little though yes you gotta find the find with it

    • @StreetRacerNo1
      @StreetRacerNo1 4 роки тому +8

      @@Dragoslance Snow plows are made to plow snow not air. To do so it needs to be realy close to the ground so that you can get the roads as clean as possible. If not you get packed snow and packed snow eventually turns into ice and that´s bad. There is a reason why all modern snow plows today have bolted replaceable cutting edges at the bottom. However, if it´s a gravel road that´s still soft (Early season) you want the plow to float on the adjustable feet so that you dont plow away too mutch of the layer of gravel that´s underneath the snow.

    • @carolannroe134
      @carolannroe134 4 роки тому +1

      I being an 83 year old woman and my Uncle Felix von Luckner found this 2 hour story so very interesting. I went to Western Truck driving school in Sacramento and learned how to drive an 18 wheeler for Adams trucking in Woodland. Calif. I loved driving a 18 wheeler. the reason that I learned how to do that was that it scarced me to death, but wanted to overcome the fear that I had for the truck. And to venture into something that I could learn to do. the reason that I stopped is because of the people that liked to play games with the truckers. Bad Bad idea for those who liked to played those kind of games. If I knew what I know now, I still would of learned it. If some idiot wanted to play chicken with a person of my calibur, I still would of done it. No matter what. If they lost their life which they probably would of because knowing myself. I would not of changed anything. I would not swerve and not step on my brake. Nothing to jepardize my life or another person. It would be on them , the person who tried to make me swerve. It would totally be on them and on them alone. Yes Mr Joe Ganusi. You are the one that better not do what you should not do, because the people who risk their lives to do dangerous things, are a breed of a different color. These people risk their lives to do these dangerous things because they know what the risks are. and it is very important that one does not try to scare them , because the ones that do that. are on the wrong side of stick. they are the brave souls that the
      good lord will watch over them.

    • @joeganusi8522
      @joeganusi8522 4 роки тому +7

      @@carolannroe134 , I have absolutely no idea what you are trying to convey in your reply. I was just asking if anyone sat through this whole video which got old after 10 minutes. Yes, some other people may have found it interesting, and that's fine. But to watch a tractor plowing a few inches of snow on a road that goes up and back is boring. Now with that said, I do have to remark on your comment about your truck driving. I've had a CDL and drove for over 45 years and NEVER had a thought about hurting someone else even if they were an idiot. YOU are the professional driver and should drive that way. To say you wouldn't move or brake is not very professional. I hope that you're not behind the wheel anymore with a mindset like that. It's drivers with attitudes like yours that ruin the trucking industry. You're behind the wheel of 80K pounds plus. Remember that when they handcuff you and take you off to jail for not giving some idiot the right of way and run them off the road. Have a nice day.

    Is this an asphalt production plant? It would seem to me that December is fairly late in the season for asphalt...at least it's late in Western Pennsylvania, USA. Skanska? Sweden?

      Because there are trucks and stuff driving, and I think it was more like 10 inches of snow. An normal truck with rwd can't even drive on 2 inches of snow...

    Just a thought... For a machine like that you could easily run a 15 foot winged plow..Would make your jobs much faster.

      It's hard to tell but I'm assuming that plow is 15 feet. But it looks smaller because cameras do no justice
