I lived in Arizona for years . Monsoon season first 2 weeks of August. Moved there in the first week of August. I will never forget that flow of water that crashed right behind the car as we were just cruising down a major highway. Then on the news - some car floated 1/2 mile . I had just moved to a high mountain desert? What I didn't know . What I still don't . This planet is very much alive and quite capable of taking care of itself ....and us.

The start of a flood is quite slow though. Obviously within a minute if they didn’t move it would be above their heads.
