Outside Event | Christening Decor | Setup with me

- The client and I discussed the event being outside, but last minute the weather changed. I looked at the weather again before setting up, there was no rain for the rest of the night. So I decided to go ahead and begin setting up outside. Once I had finished setting up the tables and chairs. It began raining again. I then had to move some chairs inside and begin the main decor inside. You can also see that I even began decorating their dinner table like we had planned for the tables outside. It had been about 30 of no rain at this point. Once I finished the main decor with the balloons inside, It still was not raining. And I decided to begin setting up outside again. I ended up taking off the balloons from the arch wall and moving everything outside, as we originally had planned.
This goes to show, that outside events are incredibly unpredictable. There is a saying I like to say “An event is 99% planning and 1% the day of.” That 1% is what makes or breaks your event. It includes the weather, and other unforeseen factors.

Hey Jackie! New Subscriber. I love, love, love your work. I’m getting into the same business and I have my first big event in 3 weeks. What brand of balloons do you use for your outside events to avoid popping and that dull look? 💕
Heyy 👋🏼 Thank You ❤️ I remember my first event like it was yesterday, that feeling of being nervous but excited at the same time doesnt go away until the event is done and your like " 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I did that 😆" I use qualatex and sempertex and sometimes tuftex. , i've had bad experiences with germar. All balloons when taken outside will oxidize and have a matte look to it. You have to use some type of balloon shine, I use Hi-Shine Balloon Spray.

Thank you 🤗 I had someone make the arch for me out of wood. It does not have a cover, its painted white.

Hi Jackie, what are the black things that you attached to the arch to attach the balloons on?
They are heavy duty clamps, i'll link them below. I clamp them to the wood wall and tie a 360 balloon to it to attach the garland.

Hello, I apologize I didn't see your comment earlier. To answer your question, I do provide the tables and chairs for my clients. I bought about 5 tables and 20 chairs when I first began my event planning business 4 years ago, and I have slowly bought more over the years. For large events that need more than 10 tables, I also have vendors who I rent from as well.

For the name it was 17" and the cross was 12"
Do you use removable vinyl for each event in order to reuse your backdrops?
@@alexibarra1121 Yes. And even they sometimes leave marks. But any whipe can take it off.
Is your backdrop a solid arch or a pipe outline that you place covers on?
For the cross is it a “t “?
