Thank you for your work, looking forward to some winter road trips. This review was also very pleasant to watch ;-)

Nice video, William. That's a ton of usage and abuse in just 3 years, and it's just fine outside of those paint chips and such, which is totally expected on any car used like this.

in your opinion if you want second hand model y wat is the best year 2023 or 22 or is it newer is better?

Model years does not really work for Teslas, there are some changes desynced from the traditional model years. I would recommend buying a Made in Berlin with AMD Ryzen if you are in Europe. If you are in the US, maybe focus on a AMD Ryzen one and make sure you like the ride.

Ryzen came around may 2022, so anything after that is good. 2022 Also has ultrasonic sensors.

I would go with the 2023 Model Y, I wouldn't even consider a 2022. Comfort suspension was introduced in 2023 with softer springs and upgraded dampers but as someone who owns a 2024, I still feel that it's quite stiff over road imperfections and I can't imagine how much worse the 2022 is. The suspension needs a more balanced tuning in my opinion, even if it means some of the good handling characteristics from the stiffer setup are reduced.

What is the best way to deal with stone chips? I have black M3 2024 and this year I've got quite a few stone chips on a highways. For now I just used touch-up paint (which normally leaves a bit of high spots). I think ideally it should be then sanded/polished/varnished, but I can't be bothered to do it every time for every tiny chip, because I'll get more of them over time anyway :) I did DYI ceramic coating on it, but of course it doesn't protect from steinsprut.

PPF is the only way to protect and touch up is the only reasonable way to cover them up.

How can you find out if you have LG or Panasonic battery ? TM3 LR 23mod MIC.

You most likely have the LG pack. You’ll find out by looking at the pack or the charging performance.

Nice review. I am always interested in how real world maintenance and repair costs turn out. You covered that well, but did not mention tires. Have the OEM tires been replaced? Is the car still running its original winter tire set?
Maybe with 100 km split between OEM and winter sets they have not needed replacement yet.
