- The effort of Tarrant County, Texas District Attorney Tarrant, Phil Sorrells, to reinstate Crystal Mason's voter fraud conviction is vindictive.
Last week, Sorrells stood before county commissioners court defending his pursuit to re-convict Mason, who was acquitted of voting illegally, saying it was to put other illegal voters on notice. But the twist was Mason's provisional vote was never counted.
Fort Worth is Tarrant County Court Commissioner Roy Brooks spoke with Roland Martin about the ongoing onslaught on Crystal Mason

Wow, Roland just mentioned John Wiley Price. I saw this man protesting over 35 years ago when I was 15, downtown Dallas, when I was a kid. I am now 50, and I remember that like it was yesterday. I didn’t live in Dallas at that time. I was visiting my cousin for the summer from Kentucky. 4 years later I moved to Dallas not because of my cousin, but because my daughters family moved to Dallas and if I wanted to be a father I had to come to Dallas where I have been since I was 19, my daughter is now 34 with a Masters degree. Such a proud father. My mother was so mad but I had to be a father to her and now my other 2 kids. John Wiley Price was a staple of black men participating in democracy and it did something to me as a young back kid to see that. As a result, I vote in all local, state, and federal elections, and I also have March through the streets of Dallas. Black people we have to participate to force change. Complaining is not getting us anywhere.

The Great Atty Alton Maddox RIP, revealed long ago, Crump and Sharpton are “Silver Rights” chasers, none of the cases (as far as I know) has been appealed to an appellate court for eventual SCOTUS determination, Neither Crump or his firm has addressed the precedent setting aspects of their cases. It appears their focus isn’t Civil or Human rights violations of the cases they choose to argue because they aren’t focused on “CIVIL RIGHTS” they chase silver and in doing so create case law outcomes that supports white supremacy racism! Racist whyte Supremacist have no problem raining dollars on Blacks like rappers rain dollars on a strypper as long as the SYSTEM isn’t challenged!

Mr. Martin I looked up the controversy/discussion about the Brady roast. I missed it whenit came out. I just watched the first 16 mins of it and I must say, growing up on Mr. Pryor and Mr. Carlin, Mr. Hart said things I never would have expected. The comic world trys to say there is no line. Of course there is; "yo mama burnt up in an oven in Awsitch ". The point, he didn't stop. Ok I except art, to express onesself, but that was something else.
