PAETE, LAGUNA: Carving through generations

Paete is known as the "Carving Capital of the Philippines". Many people around the country go all the way to its town to buy wood carved products such as furnitures, paintings, and most especially- religious items. Yet, not everyone is fully aware that aside from the fact that the town is filled with really artsy and talented people, the preservation of the inherited knowledge in carving is what makes the unique quality of their products.
Hope this video won't just promote the woodcarving industry in Paete, Laguna, but will also encourage the people in the town to help in preserving the industry by passing it on to the future generations.
