@@avengefullgirl95 as a gluten free baker, it depends on the flour. Flour replacements with thickeners can be overworked, but flour mixing like Julien did, I find it turns out a lot better to mix it for longer.

I've always known the thing to make things too dense was the gluten itself so I thought that Gluten Free would automatically mean it would be harder/impossible to overwork the dough and make it too dense. Deadass I was looking for this type of comment. Literally like he said this is one of the last recipes you would expect to find the perfect gluten free dough combination that actually works. So proud of our julen. And hopefully this will reach to a bunch more celiac people so they can start making more stuff they can enjoy!
as a person familiar with gluten-free pastry, the sheer excitement in juliens eyes when the dough acted normally and didn’t crumble is painfully relatable
They are one of the best drunk foods. Also great for laziness and Netflix. It’s a crusty flaky crust filled with savory cheesy goodness. Many different flavors. My faves being pepperoni pizza, ham and cheese and cheeseburger. They also have philly cheese steak, bbq, fajita.... lots of different flavors.
I feel like maybe after a while when Jenna isn’t feeling as stressed but still not ready to fully come back (if she ever does, which is totally okay), it’d be fun for her to still taste the food off-camera and just hold up a “not allowed” sign at the edge of the shot.
I honestly was hopping Julien would say weather or not she liked it. I loved seeing the love between the two of them when Jenna tried his food. Hopefully she feels better soon

But I’m imagining that Julien probably went through footage and intentionally cut out any parts where you can hear her in the background or anything. I totally understand her not even wanting to be involved a little bit right now. But I’m hopeful that maybe 6-8 months from now she’ll be feeling better and have a desire to do some flybys in julien’s videos or something.

Julian, you should try making Chinese braised "meat" dishes. You seem to love Chinese food but you mainly make stir frys and haven't expanded onto braised Chinese dishes. Especially since there aren't many replicas for Soysauce and sugar braised meat dishes that are vegan. I personally eat meat but would love to see you tackle the challenge of making a vegan based "salty and sweet" Chinese meat dish.

For future reference you absolutely can add salt to a dough after it's put together. In bread-making this is a very common way to do it since salt can inhibit gluten development. You just need to sprinkle it over the dough and knead it in. Adding a few drops of water will help it dissolve and incorporate better.

For future reference you absolutely can add salt to a dough after it's put together. In bread-making this is a very common way to do it since salt can inhibit gluten development. You just need to sprinkle it over the dough and knead it in. Adding a few drops of water will help it dissolve and incorporate better.
