Pros of this video: Great info and perspective. Cons: Background music for me is very distracting, Titles for each point would be helpful. I thought this could have been much shorter. Not trying to be mean. Just don't have 30 minutes to extract the desired info. Thanks.
They don't have any Starbucks but they do have Mulli in Tirana. Albania is a mountainous country and in the mountains it gets very cold and snowy, the sea side and low lands are mild in the winter.
Planning on visiting Albania,Vlore in mid October and I'm hoping that the weather will still be nice! I'll be staying down south about 6 miles from the city centre, do you know if there are any buses going to the city cente from there or would you recommend taking a taxi? Also, could you recommend a car rental company in Vlore? Thanks for your videos, much appreaciated!
The public busses are the best option for you. However, I'm not sure how far outside the city center they travel. I also lived outside the city, and the buses came out by me. When I lived there, I bought a bike, and that is how I traveled around. Taxis are a good option, but they can become expensive depending on how often you use them. As far as car rentals, anyone you choose will be just fine. I only rented cars a couple of times the eight months I lived in Albania. The prices are very reasonable. I hope this helps! Enjoy your time in Vlore, and if you have any other questions, please get in touch with me!
Good video thanks! Curious, is this a country where everybody smokes cigarettes? Some countries you can't go anywhere without walking through clouds of smoke. Smoking in restaurants? Thanks!
Thank you for the insights - very helpful. I like how culture supersedes commercialism and cash is king. The Walmart's, with endless shelves of Chinese made land-fill fodder is like a nuke for small business, it turns the local retail market into a barren wasteland. God bless small-business and a national lifestyle of less is more. 😁
@@vansvoyage6604 No Roma people are not homeless. Begging is like a business to them and they use their kids. The government is trying to crack down on that practice.
@@vansvoyage6604 welcome I sent you an email. I wonder why you stopped vlogging? Wanted to ask you out of the 3 bigger coastal towns in albania what would be the best pick to have a base there or investment? Many thanks
Hello! In my opinion, Durres is a great city to set up a base. With its close proximity to Tiarana and the wonderful beaches, it makes for a great experience to enjoy Albania. My second favorite would be Vlore. This is another amazing beach city but a bit quieter in the off-season. I hope this helps. Once again thanks for watching my videos!!
@@vansvoyage6604 thanks Vans I was leaning towards Durres as it has a lot to offer but not many UA-camrs show it as a hot favorite. Logistically to me it seems like the best pick. Sarande may be too quite off season and too far away? Most of the expats seem to favour Sarande but I like the look of durres to also be able to take the ferry to Italy and close to the capital and airport etc and to go to any events in the city.

Very corrupted and they want the Euros 💶 that you have. Bad qualities goods but the west and Euros 💶 prices. Taxi drivers are very expensive and they speak Euros 💶.

Oh, this is way to sloooooooooow for being in the same scenery.
One thing need to know, how many homeless people you've seen in Albania?
There is a lot of Roma people. I'm not to sure if they are homeless or not. Unfortunately, this is a problem everywhere in the world 😔

I never had a problem with them. Most of them seemed very nice .

Many thanks for your kind comment!
Albania is a very small country.
In my opinion it is a third world country..
They state institutions are very corrupted
So are the most countries in the world
Your opinion keep it for yourself...
