It’s absolutely bonkers to think that this is less than half of the booster’s thrust. The launch is going to be something else! 🤯

Didn`t the booster have 33 engines?
@@MCRuCr One shut down by itself & another was shutdown by engineers. 31* fired overall. 31 lasting the entire duration.
@@MCRuCr one engine was deactivated before the test and another shutdown during ignition i think, so only 31 of the 33 engines completed the test fire.
The Audio is just incredible, Outstanding work.
Seriously, those low frequencies made me jump, I wasn't expecting anything like that.
My earbuds were awesome in the slow mo.

I remember how giddy I was the first time Falcon Heavy launched. I'll be sure to scream and shout for Starship, it's going to be a wild ride everyone! Here's to a future among the stars!
Yeah, people throw the word _awesome_ around like it's nothing. Oh you got me a coffee? Awesome. 😐 But the first Falcon Heavy launch, and the landings especially, really were awesome. I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes from not having blinked for a few minutes.
Same but I am more looking forward to landing (catch) attempts.
I jumped of my office shair with the first simultaneous landing. And still get goosebumps to this day with the video edit to the Bowie song

If you & the team can do EXACTLY what you've done here Tim for the orbital launch, same quality & everything (weather permitting) - that will offically be my favourite video uploaded to youtube in the past 15 years. Period.

Front row seats for launches are overrated.. the first ~5000 rows always get scorched. XD He's got something better anyways - a window seat.

time flies fast i remember the start of this project like it's yesterday and now we're alr at the 31 static fire of the Super Heavy booster like 🤯
Man I guess I was to into the hype! Feels like it’s crawling forward now.
The time I screamed at Starhopper flying because I couldn't believe what I was seeing and now it has come this far.

2. I love how in the slow-mo, you can fully see the three tiers of raptors firing, starting with the inner 3 to the outer 20.
3. Under-rated editing for the after SF, to the slo-mo deluge/suppression system. 11/10.

Your perceptive observation made me go back and watch it again!
This time I watched it with MY computer on 0.25 speed, on TOP of the video's 1/4 speed.
3. Would that deluge/suppression system you're talking about be the (water) spray from a visible nozzle protruding under the platform from 1:47 in the video?
If you listen closely you can hear it too.
yes... I have been trying to work out the delay between stages firing and it looks to be around 2 seconds when watched at 1/4 speed.... so 1/16 speed in total. so aroun 100ms-150ms

Crazy how you can see 3 distinct levels of brightness as it stagger starts.
my guess is inner three gimballing engines first, then the inner ring of static engines, then the outer ring. Same order in disengaging.
Don’t all 13 center engines gimbal?

It is incredibly powerful. The sound waves alone at close proximity would cause air bubbles to form in your arteries etc and instantly kill you.

Fantastic video, it really brings home how awesome this beast will be when it launches. Looks like the weather that day was mild, perhaps with a small outbreak of rain consisting of pieces of concrete.
