- In this video, we will be analyzing the style of Luna La from Gossip Girl (2021). We will be looking over boho chic as an aesthetic, clothing as a creative medium since Luna is the stylist of the group, the patterns found in her clothing as well as headspace, and the psychology of her style development in unison with the breakthrough of her storyline line where she steps out of the shadows into the spotlight.
She is a minor character in the show, but like all of us contributing to something bigger than ourselves, we all have our own story to create. Her storyline follows her going from the underappreciated friend and rejected daughter who chooses to stand in the shadows helping others shine with her gifts to stepping into the spotlight for herself in honor of her own beauty, brains, hard work, and talents. Through this, we will gain an understanding of the skills to combine aesthetics, how to curate clothing in terms of improving self-image, and the way that Luna’s style gives her the strength to stand on her own so that she can become fully herself inside and out.

I truly appreciated every scene Luna was in. It always brought a distinctive vibe from the other characters. Her style truly shone and did a good job at reminisce the style from Serena and Blair in her own take.
I also believe that femininity took a big part on her style as we often saw in other characters this sort of androgynous style, her always focused in her silhouette even with looser fabrics there were always strong hints of her femininity shinning through.
Also the queerness to it which wasn’t truly explored but rather hinted out throughout her interactions with Max as both of them sometimes had a feeling of isolation from the rest as their experiences were different.
I really like her style and elegance, she looks beautiful next to the piano.
I loved Luna's looks because she is one of the characters that feel the most decisive when it comes to then. From her hairstyles, to her outfits, the way she puts in makeup and how she moves, you can tell it's 100% intentional and thought through.
It's a beautiful statement of dedication, creativity, discipline and honesty.
If Luna says not to, or if Luna says to… you do that.
Shows the beauty in being yourself. To bring your gifts to the world and share them outwardly. To be there for your loved ones and always put yourself in a position where you can help others. But also that it’s okay to take up space in this world. To go after what you wished for. And it’s okay to put yourself first at times.

I liked how you gave us a quick summary of oscar de la renta. have you thought of doing a video where you give quick summaries like that for different designers? I always hear things like "this person is a chanel girl while this person is more dior" and stuff but I have no idea what that means. I keep trying to watch videos on them but I feel like I'm in over my head.
