@sideslide23 actually they were filled with ballast to take up to san bruno (just a couple miles up the line), but im not sure of why they were, i just know they were heading there

Looks like they are single tracking after CP Center on the main 1 track according to that signal at the depot!
@traindude32 because Caltrain (JPBX) owns the tracks and UP has trackage rights so Caltrain has to do the maintenance
How how Caltrain has freight shunter? shouldn't they have the UP or someone else take those ballast hoppers?
@EpicBlazbluedude315 sometimes i do, but not very often, its not too convenient for me, i live in the east bay
