I think a lot of aspiring rappers feel the same and you know what.... they should... rap gotten too accessible and the "bar" has been lowered long enough, put in the work. No more mumble nonsense vocals

What you were talking about with his business sense is spot on. I started watching his videos years ago, but when he started doing the live chat freestyles and freestyling off what people are saying in the chat. That blew my mind. I think it was his second or third that he'd called out what I said in the general chat and I lost my shit. Isn’t it amazing. So most of my attention has been on my tiktok here lately and I go live on there and making those personal connections creates something better than a follower. It creates community of people who want to help you succeed. They are supporters. And all it took was taking a moment to read what they said. Remind them they aren’t just a number. And the more you can connect with them, the more powerful the connection. Even if you have so many people at some point that you have to hire someone to respond to messages, that personal touch will keep people in your corner forever. I see your subscriber count may be in the low thousands, but consistency and good content will get you to where you want to go. All it takes is one video to go viral, where you get millions of views and watch that number just continue to go up. When I first started following HMack, he was around 40-50K followers/subscribers and now he's over two million. But it's because of his consistency and obviously just being talented, creative and genuine. It's there for anyone who wants it and I appreciate your reply man.

I enjoyed all o y'alls reaction, but especially @Nerdork I think this is the first time I've seen a reactor to Harry that truly gets it as far as the importance of not stepping on Harry's performance with constant interruptions and droning on and on, or worse, by not hitting pause and talking over top of him of his performance. Also, your comments were right on about how Harry hits on all cylinders. If he did just one thing great it would be fun, but the fact that he does EVERYTHING great: He rhymes, he addresses a key word from multiple angles, not only in meaning, but also double-entendres, his use of unexpected smart words like 'off-kilter" (good call on that one) the fact that his bars don't just rhyme but are as clever and good as any well thought out and well-written bar, his ability to switch up flows, execution of double-time, the fact that he's a good hearted person, has put in the hours of effort for mastery, has such a breadth of musical background, has much more than passing knowledge about a LOT of topics such that he can rap intelligently about that topic, is a really smart businessman as well... For not just being a fan of mack, helping his comunity, but for seeing why I thought I had something to give in reacting to him in the first place. We like harry are trying to continue to evolve and level up. We are gonna make mistakes and do our best to recovery and hit that next bar so to speak. Before I get to my main thought by way of continuing this fun dialogue, I wanted to touch on something you said about Mack forgetting a word, in this case, blasphemy and in a similar vein, the question about whether he swiped on the Anthony crew. It's of course possible that he forgot, but if I were to make a wager; I'd put my money on the fact that he did NOT forget, but rather pretended to, because his immediate and stellar comeback when they reminded him the word was 'blasphemy' was even MORE powerful than if he had simply never "forgotten" it in the first place. Just my 2¢. Similarly with when he swiped on Anthony & crew, I really do believe he swiped. I think he was done with how narcissistically they were treating the whole interaction. However, he's too nice to make them want to feel bad, so just in case they ever watched what he posted later, he did a great job of acting to the swipe, "Oh no! What just happened?!" Now, to the topic of format for a reaction video. I'm not saying my idea is right, just acting like a sounding board. Hopefully you like it or get some ideas from it. My perfect reaction video would go like this... 1. Reactor watches the video without any commentary at all. All reactions are visual other than maybe reflexive exclamations, like, "Holy $h|†!!" If you know you were so loud you blocked out something Harry said, back it up. This way Harry's flow is not broken up. Harry's rap is meant to be a performance and if it's allowed to play straight through with just your visual reaction and maybe crying out there or there, then us folk watching you get to experience both his performance AND your reaction in an even more visceral way, in my opinion. 2. In post, you go back and insert key words visually on the screen, just like you did. For example, when he said, off-kilter, you could have just as effectively pointed the cleverness out by having the words "Nice! 'Off-kilter!!'" popping up on screen at that point, as opposed to stopping the video and stating it out loud. So, our experience as the viewers is that the rap & your visual responses and laughter, etc, are happening simultaneously, in layers if you will, as a single experience. Then finally, like doing a book review, after the video played straight through, replay the entire thing again as far as I'm concerned, but this time stopping to give the breakdown just like you did. On the second break-down play through, you CAN go into the analysis in greater detail because you gave it its due respect by letting it play straight the first time. The 2 downsides to this is it would make for a much longer video and, worse, represents a LOT more work and TIME in post-production than what it otherwise takes. The upside is the original piece really gets to shine and your reaction video comes off even more polished. There might well be other downsides to what I'm detailing here and I'm happy to stand down if I'm wrong about that. I'm just spit-balling here on how to achieve that balance that you alluded to where you do justice to Harry's work with sufficient and eloquent praise, but don't go into the realm of coming across like you're trying to upstage him. I know that wouldn't be your intent. I'm just saying, the question you basically posed - and rightfully so - was, how does one strike that balance allowing the original piece to shine and yet still showing 'nuff respek? If any of my thoughts were helpful, then I'm pleased to help! God bless bro!!

And his mastery of his craft led him to make it better than it would have been. You can see this is a bunch of his reactions. He will start a scheme that is an obvious set up for the word but won't use it and move on and even remember it onhis own sometimes and use EVEN MORE words to get back to it at a later point. It's like he sets up the scheme and gets so in it in the split seconds he has to set these extremely complex rhymes together just misses it. And this man could make a gold mind off the bars he messes up on! Harry's perfection is what is is able to do with his imperfections. I also don't think he skipped them nor do I think he cares that they wanted to see themselves be apart of this moment forever. He understands that's apart of the fun! Could you imagine! I enjoyed all o y'alls reaction, but especially @Nerdork I think this is the first time I've seen a reactor to Harry that truly gets it as far as the importance of not stepping on Harry's performance with constant interruptions and droning on and on, or worse, by not hitting pause and talking over top of him of his performance. Also, your comments were right on about how Harry hits on all cylinders. Before I get to my main thought by way of continuing this fun dialogue, I wanted to touch on something you said about Mack forgetting a word, in this case, blasphemy and in a similar vein, the question about whether he swiped on the Anthony crew. It's of course possible that he forgot, but if I were to make a wager; I'd put my money on the fact that he did NOT forget, but rather pretended to, because his immediate and stellar comeback when they reminded him the word was 'blasphemy' was even MORE powerful than if he had simply never "forgotten" it in the first place. Just my 2¢. Similarly with when he swiped on Anthony & crew, I really do believe he swiped. I think he was done with how narcissistically they were treating the whole interaction. However, he's too nice to make them want to feel bad, so just in case they ever watched what he posted later, he did a great job of acting to the swipe, "Oh no! What just happened?!" Now, to the topic of format for a reaction video. I'm not saying my idea is right, just acting like a sounding board. Hopefully you like it or get some ideas from it. My perfect reaction video would go like this... 1. Reactor watches the video without any commentary at all. All reactions are visual other than maybe reflexive exclamations, like, "Holy $h|†!!" If you know you were so loud you blocked out something Harry said, back it up. This way Harry's flow is not broken up. Harry's rap is meant to be a performance and if it's allowed to play straight through with just your visual reaction and maybe crying out there or there, then us folk watching you get to experience both his performance AND your reaction in an even more visceral way, in my opinion. 2. In post, you go back and insert key words visually on the screen, just like you did. For example, when he said, off-kilter, you could have just as effectively pointed the cleverness out by having the words "Nice! 'Off-kilter!!'" popping up on screen at that point, as opposed to stopping the video and stating it out loud. So, our experience as the viewers is that the rap & your visual responses and laughter, etc, are happening simultaneously, in layers if you will, as a single experience. Then finally, like doing a book review, after the video played straight through, replay the entire thing again as far as I'm concerned, but this time stopping to give the breakdown just like you did. On the second break-down play through, you CAN go into the analysis in greater detail because you gave it its due respect by letting it play straight the first time. The 2 downsides to this is it would make for a much longer video and, worse, represents a LOT more work and TIME in post-production than what it otherwise takes. The upside is the original piece really gets to shine and your reaction video comes off even more polished. There might well be other downsides to what I'm detailing here and I'm happy to stand down if I'm wrong about that. I'm just spit-balling here on how to achieve that balance that you alluded to where you do justice to Harry's work with sufficient and eloquent praise, but don't go into the realm of coming across like you're trying to upstage him. I know that wouldn't be your intent. I'm just saying, the question you basically posed - and rightfully so - was, how does one strike that balance allowing the original piece to shine and yet still showing 'nuff respek? If any of my thoughts were helpful, then I'm pleased to help! God bless bro!!
@@Zelig2Cents oh man. Where to start. Mack is a God. But mack is human that's what makes him great. He is also extremely real. That's hiphop. I 100% think he forgot the word. And his mastery of his craft led him to make it better than it would have been. You can see this is a bunch of his reactions. He will start a scheme that is an obvious set up for the word but won't use it and move on and even remember it onhis own sometimes and use EVEN MORE words to get back to it at a later point. It's like he sets up the scheme and gets so in it in the split seconds he has to set these extremely complex rhymes together just misses it. Easy to do when dealing with so many similar sounding words. Every one makes mistakes it's what we choose to do with them that makes us great. And this man could make a gold mind off the bars he messes up on! Harry's perfection is what is is able to do with his imperfections.
I also don't think he skipped them nor do I think he cares that they wanted to see themselves be apart of this moment forever. He understands that's apart of the fun! Could you imagine! I'd have killed to find harry this way and I'd have been so excited to see my self fanboy over him ON HIS CHANNEL! ARE YOU KIDDING ME I'D DIE! well never know what happened tho. I can reread your comment without losing what iv written. So I'll stop that there.
