"high fiveing the kids in his house" Priceless! I call it basement dancing, but I like your interaction with the family better. I appreciate your focus on the small ball aspects, when you're not corn-balling jokes and then self-deprecating your own jokes....I like that too. I ran into your cast on your HPT final table. That was awesome insight and an episode I hadn't seen. That dumped me into this playlist, so that's why you're getting a comment on a 14 month old upload. You are definitely going into my youtube rotation.
4:59 I was wondering why it's called "Turbo Week"... But I'm glad to know that even the person who named it "Turbo Week" doesn't know why they decided to name it that. lol
think your strongest game is definitely tournaments, not saying you're not good at cash but almost every time you play a tourny you win/ run deep and have a chance of winning. more tournaments! :D
for sure, definitely agree with you there. i truly believe at one point (~2007?) i was one of the top 25 mtters in the world, it's possible i was never top 200 at cash
Well I was really not feeling it when you bet again on the turn or river (99A). Glad you pulled it off with the 58 though. Very good video and some good insight. Keep it up!
5 8 offsuit bluff nice! that was so awesome...tried watching these in 1.25 speed so I can catch up with the recent vids but its too weird on my ears lol
I envy your knowledge. Aside from natural talent, where would you start to start being able to analyze certain situations? I'm a break even/low positive/negative live player(lol) that has a good grasp and foundation for the game but need to go deeper into the theory. I feel I can read people and hands like a champ but when it comes to situations like bet sizing and the value of checking/calling or check/raising I completely blank out and "flip a coin". If that makes any sense and you have any advice, i would sure like to hear it.
That spot at 58 minutes is fun. I wouldn't think that he has an Ax there that often, or a 9x. He might think you have a 9x, and he's repping the ace with the shove. It's interesting because it was your first limp which might have made him feel that you were weak, therefor he could check a stronger hand pre for value. I'm leaning toward Kxdd, but I don't get re-clicking your cbet; unless he thinks that he could take it down there, or build the pot with the better hand if he's that sick. Interesting. K2dd will be my final guess. He turned his hand into bluff against the great JCarver. P.s. You're the best. I wish you all the success in the world. Thank you for the free content.
I was playing a MTT while watching this, my chip stack grew in similar size to JCarver's (albeit much larger field).. i'm still in an hour later, just made the money but below average stack. Was interesting to watch as i played
JCarver just caught up on the RIU vids. Love 'em. What was the deal with the jump-cut as you flashed the peace sign at the end of RIU #81? I know there's a story behind it.
lol, since you made it this far and still wanted to ask, i think i cut the original ending because i just tilted my hand way too much and it annoyed me.
I have a question and was wondering if anyone in the comments could answer it. I have eight bb on a 9 handed table. The action goes limp limp then folds to me on the cut off, I shove with KQo. People in blinds are short, seen people limp fold, Big blind calls and the rest folds, big blind has ATs. Lose, is this the right play? No antes, thank you if you read or get the chance to respond. #runitup bitches ;D
why i consider poker as competitive sport cause one time i myself sitting in front of my computer played online poker for approximate 22 hours (serious not bragging) for 2 weeks str8 and pocket 5 figure at the end, you have endure long sessions ,be able to deal with stress (afterall large amt of money exchange hand are very stressful to average ppl like me,that's how i stay up for nearly 2 wks cause i cant sleep due to the stress) and the commitment ( i committed 100% of my bankroll at the time ,so either make it or go broke). when i see Jcarver toss coin for 72k with Antonio and still smile at the end ,that's called professional (regardless of his net worth,it's all about how he deal with wins/loss). same goes to sports athletes they compete at event for financial gains as well ,many times risk their life or got serious injury that impact the rest of their life, one word" life is a game ,we all just gambler".
if Jcarver only played tournament sessions, he might already reach the goal of 10k or more,he is that good of tournament player, for casher game i think the variation are just unavoidable no matter who you are or how good you play(especially for the stake that he was playing ),anyway great video and light up my day (though just lost 2k last night).
when someone does that mincheckraise thing when HU and you dont understand what his reping. well u are not alone. most likely there isnt much thought process to his poker. its just clicking buttons. so dont bluff him often. some players are unblufferable JC.
so I'm not even going to watch this. I just saw an advertisement that said you shall turn $50 into $10,000. How many times have you had to replenish the original $50 is my question. :O) ---- lame.

Awesome poker face with the 58 offsuit bluff! Classic!
These vids crack me up. Great positive vibe and humor. And now and then some very good poker analysis. Much appreciated!
16:29 - Cat Avatar w/ screen name "Ted Sticle" joins the table.
lol
how did no one see this!?!?
You said 'pair'!!! Congratulations, JC! You are learning.
Who needs to check and fold, when you can just bluff and win! Love it!
Woohoo! Great bluff at the end! I had to hold off biting into my potato chip until he folded. RUN IT UP TURBO!
4:59 I was wondering why it's called "Turbo Week"... But I'm glad to know that even the person who named it "Turbo Week" doesn't know why they decided to name it that. lol
lol, in retrospect i wish i named it MONDO week, but at least turbo week is more appropriate given that we started with a turbo

My weekend was good Jason... yes she really did that!
Awesome. I must do this with five eight off suit now. Challenge accepted.

Jason Somerville fair enough, lol
You remind me of Emo Philips sometimes, but I mean that in the nicest possible way.
Why is calling with the AJ at 29:00 not an option?

So, um the 100 ep of RIU is nearing what do you have planned?

JCarver says he loves me!

unfortunately there really aren't enough MTTs for me to play every day... but i think i'll play more this week (in streams particularly)
Keep ur Aces, keep ur Kings... - 5-8os all the way for our noble & gallant leader!! lol
After the last hand I really thought you said "Let's do some meth kids!"
Congrats on the win brother.
"WHAT, no first hand!?" *insert rigged theory here*
thx for all the vids!
vapor !!!!!! :) good pokertainment !
If I make the same play at a live table like at 1:01:40....should I or should I not make that face?
the true pro way to do it is to move all in, stand up, put on your jacket/backpack, and say "i'm happy getting 2nd, i'm ready to go home" #neverfail
LA Complex is sweet. Too bad its only 1 season.
when someone does that mincheckraise thing when HU and you dont understand what his reping. well u are not alone. most likely there isnt much thought process to his poker. its just clicking buttons. so dont bluff him often. some players are unblufferable JC.

Well done Jcarver, put those people in the cage! You go girl!
How was your weekend?
Home from university.. Mom made me spaghetti.

Um, never? It's all in the videos how he's made $1800 so far without ever putting more money in...
