Amazing that at aged 27 Eubank was almost at the veteran stage in his career having had lots of battles. Now 27 is often the start of a fighting career with people often not peaking until 32+

This was a really tough fight to score, Eubank bossed the first half, Rocchegianni the second half. Both Guys missed a lot with Eubank scoring with a lot of body shots and Rocchegianni scoring the better, cleaner head shots and fair play to 2 of the Judges, who called it fair.
A lot of glove hitting by Eubank, and the commentary was atrocious. Not enough return action from Rocci in the early rounds, and lacked continued aggression in favour of a good guard, but over all, with his continued pressure, and some good mid round scoring shots from Rocci , this was much closer than the scorecards pointed. But a good fight apart from Eubank being a plonker!
Eubank only landed two punches in the second round compared to his son last night who fought a guy with the same high guard, JR landed 8 punches in the 1st round in that match, he has a better more constant jab compared to his dad and he wouldn`t get tagged by this guy the way Eubank often was here.

When Calzaghe destroyed Eubank and wiped that arrogant smirk from his face, that was a great moment. Obviously Eubank was a good boxer; you have to be as a champion; but his constant arrogant strutting and disrespect shown towards other fighters totally let him down as a decent personality in the ring.
Eubank was never the same fighter after the Watson fight and the severe brain damage Watson suffered. Eubank turned into a very tentative fighter afterwards. Doing enough to win rounds without causing serious harm to his opponents. I remember against Steve Collins, he hurt him badly in the 10th, but wouldn't follow up with a decisive blow to finish him off. He completely froze. He did the same against Carl Thompson. He boxed his ears off, but wouldn't pull the trigger. Unfortunately, boxing is a brutal sport and Eubank should had retired a lot sooner.

At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask when he robbed from people.
