Well, not exactly. I'm getting about 15fps while recording that, but speeding up the video makes it appear much smoother. After deleting that sphere though, my overall fps went back above 30-40 and the updates per second (UPS) improved a lot too.
I'm playing Dyson sphere and am almost on to green spheres but haven't done any sails yet (about to start). Can someone help me understand what I am looking at? I have looked around the internet a bit and understand solar panels floating around the sun, but when you delete something, doesn't it just go back into your inventory? What is this "destruction"?
When you delete any part of your dyson sphere in the editor, the nodes/shells turn into sails that become part of a dyson swarm that eventually expires. But when you do that the sails don't go into one of your normal orbits, they get pulled into the star from their original position and create a rippling effect over time.
What in the world? I guess this is why you can have multiple sphere layers, I thought the extent of it was building a solid shell, that sphere looks crazy! Edit: Oh my god, everything after the sphere looks even crazier
@@iestynne 15fps while doing this one, and get 30fps normally (on a 2gb save at this point). But I only get 10-12fps when doing the 4k rockets/minute + rail ejectors. Was surprised the 14M sails actually performed much better than doing rockets.
@@Xac137 tbh that is the reason why your shit is so impressive. you fkn clicked that shit one by one and build it one by one. and you cannot turn off visibility of layers.
Everyone here saying how the destruction of the Dyson Sphere is cool. I, personally, DO NOT want to be the person to explain why all our effort has just vanished into nothingness because of an accidental pressing of the delete button.
Your editing is absolutely crazy. And that mass of light just looks awesome
Very well made
Thank you very much, appreciate it!
Pretty sure that's the coolest thing I've ever seen.
Glad you liked it :D
HOLY WHAT THE ACTUAL.....
I was NOT prepared for this level of awesome
cringe
my hats permanently off to ya
Absolutely stunning lad, well done on all the different shots, classical music was also the perfect accompaniment, keep up the good work!
Oops, the camera wasn't recording. Can we reset and do that again?
the hardcore version without saving before hand?
This is the light show you see when you beat the final boss, and they implode in a place outside of reality but he still affects it.

Really enjoyed this. Awesome editing. Thanks!
Thanks, appreciate it! :D

I don't know what i'm watching but it looks marvelous.
I just started playing the game and I have no idea how it's "destroyed", but it looks amazing
Magnificent love the way you made this video beautiful
Thank you so much 😀
What impresses me the most is that your computer can handle it at all!

The scale 🤯 the amount of processing! I can hear the fans in your PC from another star cluster!

lol , green sphere it wasnt too late to quit , think you already get into this too deep now :D
My pc: 💥
Me: This is fine.
If someone works out how to make these into screen savers I'm sure they'd make a come back.
its just like Deidara said, art is an explosion
Absolutely mesmerizing

Just wow really well done
I thought a Hollow Knight boss was about to form
Love it! :D

Genius idea.
Perfect execution.
Great job!
how many sails? :-)
20.7 mill on the original sphere. Then looks like that turned into 14.2 mill when it was deleted.
@@Xac137 🤯
What kind of framerate do you get with 14M sails floating around?!

That's seriously impressive... I wonder if they're simulating the sails as a particle system on the GPU.
can you share the blueprints? i'm happy to pay for those
That was a madterpiece nice
How can you get that effect. I thought it was a solid black panel
It's an x-ray effect in the editing software I'm using.

Wtf how did destroying it make it produce more power? 😂
When a cell/sail is permanently on the sphere, each one generates 15kw. But when it's part of a swarm, each one generates 36kw until it expires.
@@Xac137 I know...
BUT HOW TF DOES THIS MAKE SENCE? 😂😂😂
Why would you destroy it all that time to making it and you get rid of it.
Just why.
I see someone is good at 3D graphics 🙂☺
Have you considered turning some of your stuff into NFT's? This is ACTUALLY art.
