2023 Hominy Drumkeeper Joseph Goodfox Jr., Paying for the Drum

The Hominy Inlonshka began June 8, 2023, with the family of the new Drumkeeper, Joseph Goodfox Jr., paying for the drum. The family gave away 10 wedding coats, a horse, blankets and cedar chests in his honor.
Joseph is Osage and Pawnee and is the son of Alice and Joe Goodfox. His paternal grandparents are Janet Goodfox and the late Amos Goodfox and his maternal grandparents are the late Rosa-Raye Hill and the late Jim Pledger. Joseph received his Osage name Tzizho HunKah from his great-grandpa Harry Red Eagle Jr.
Joseph is a recent graduate of Hominy High School and will be attending Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo. He has committed to playing football for Fort Lewis and plans to major in Exercise Physiology.
