This might be an over generalization but... I guess I really like how the hololive guys and other people aren't afraid to do things like this? Like how Astel talks about his makeup and how Miyabi openly admits to liking "girly" clothing and such. I feel like nowadays, especially in America,(even though this is Japanese), too many people feel threatened or embarrassed to do anything that would "contradict their masculinity". I've never really had an up front impression of it. I'm a girl who is in most ways very boyish. I play a lot of sports, I do a lot of things that aren't stereotypically female things to do, and most people see me as a heavy tomboy. But in my personal life I've never felt a whole lot of pressure to be more girly and to do more girly things. On the internet and things like this I see the "you must fit into your gender stereotype" a lot more, and more so on the men's side on the women's side (though that's debatable). Because the truth is liking girls clothing, actually showing your emotions, and being a good person doesn't make you a gender you're not, and it doesn't threaten your "masculinity" from what I know. Thinking otherwise leads into toxic masculinity and things like that. So I do really like seeing things like this because it shows that there are still people and cultures that aren't as afraid to be more open, and aren't as constricted by specific gender stereotypes. I don't really know where I'm going with this but yeah... it's nice to see.
