The longer I shoot PRS the more my hunting rifles start to look like my competition setup. This is right up my alley. Dont stop doing reviews on quality components because everyone cries to much.
Thanks! We try to spread it out. Foundation stocks are high end for sure. I also use much more modestly priced Boyds laminate stocks on several of my rifles and we've done articles on them as well. Also a good product, but at a different price point for sure.
This is NOT a stock for everyone. There are many more affordable options out there, but like anything, there is a low budget, medium budget and higher budget option out there! For anyone that’s laid the cash out for a Foundation stock, including me, you know it’s worth the price and then some. Foundation is a great company with a great product! They’re winning PRS matches left and right for great reason. Is it expensive compared to other offerings? Yes! Is it worth it? Only you can decide, but if you like well made components, then this is a winner in my opinion. If you don’t like Gavin’s channel, then unsubscribe and find another one you like. It’s pretty simple. I find his videos well made, educational as well as entertaining, and he really does know his stuff. It’s his business model and it works for him! Don’t be jealous!
Seems like a great high end hunting stock. Obviously a lot of people commenting don't understand Foundation is not a budget stock company. It's okay if it's not in your budget or something you see value in.
Its not the price. Its the look. Its just ugly. It's like a block of 2x4 someone crudely took a file too, a paint job of a sloppy toddler, and different parts/materials just glued randomly together. Which is a shame as their normal micarta stocks look amazing.
@TheTdwilson it might be put together nicely. But my original point still stands. It looks hideous and looks like it's put together crudely. "Looks," being the main word, not saying it is badly made, just looks like it.
@@Lethal_Intent You have “looked” at video footage. I have actually held and inspected one in my hands. It is gorgeous and very well constructed as per my actual hands-on experience. You “looked” at one on your iPhone screen. Huge difference, my brother!

Tyvm. I like to build a 7mm prc. I have a Savage Impulse. I'm toying with the idea of an aftermarket stock or a complete build. Longer barrel with a can and a folding stock.
A friend of mine makes custom knives. He said micarta catches on fire easily and you have to be careful working with it. Also micarta surfaces will oxidize over time. It makes me wonder how a long string of shots on a hot day will affect the bedding surface.
People are winning championships with un-bedded Foundation stocks, lots of shooting, no problems. We've been using Foundation stocks at Ultimate Reloader for several years, with outstanding results and no problems.
Looks like a mighty fine deer, pronghorn, coyote & rockchuck rifle! The stock sure felt good when I got my hands on it briefly at the shop. The 6 GT is cool, but maybe one in long action with a fast twist 257 Weatherby?
Gavin has definitely lost touch with what made him popular. “Hey my friend has a gun that won’t shoot, I’m going to see what the problem is. Look I replaced everything but the action and it shoots pretty good, so everything must have been the problem”. “Hey check out these ultra premium products that ordinary humans can’t afford, you should all get one, it’s totally worth getting a divorce over”.
I disagree. The channel still puts out plenty of low budget content. Look at the last eight weeks. If you cannot afford a Ferrari, it just means that. Do you complain about someone reviewing it? You clearly are interested enough to look. They are expensive. I know personally. It is a life decision. Much like the Ferrari. It doesn't just mean the car. You need a garage and tools too. If that is not you, that is not you.
I would love to have a foundation stock for my first custom rifle build. But just out of my price range. But I love that he puts his faith in Jesus Christ as brothers and sisters and children of Jesus Christ putting your total faith in him is not easy for even the strongest faith sometimes his faith is inspiring to me amen 🙏 thank you for sharing the Lord and how he has blessed you

I don’t get it. Who likes their hand hanging semi loose off the side to get a 90 degree trigger purchase? Why the huge distance palm swell to trigger? I sold all my Manners stocks for that reason and I have regular size hands, XXL gloves. The only stock I feel is designed well is the older Sako TRG. The rest is just crap and I moved to KRG and MDT chassis’ for that reason.
Reach out to him he may be able to do it. I run Borden Mountaineers and he made a Sampson and Revelation for me. Yes, they are expensive but well worth it.
I ran a foundation for a week. They're most overpriced underperforming stock on the market. A $500 MDT XRS will do everything a foundation will do for ¼ of the price.

Nice. Might need one of these.
You get what you pay for when you buy foundation. The comfort, ergonomics, and attention to detail in a foundation stock is unreal. Worth every penny.
Great stuff guys. These stocks are awesome! We are really enjoying ours.
Gavin is the Drew Carey of reloading 😂
Looks like a great product! Not just another CF rifle stock. Not cheap, but the customer gets more also.

Just shot mine for the first time an hour ago. Handled recoil really well in 7 PRC
Good to know. That's a lot of power in a lightweight rifle & stock.
Definitely need one. Everything they make it top notch
Great info, and review; foundation is a great company.

I’m curious how it’s better than some very good stocks for double or triple the price.
Got one on order for a BAT hammerhead action. Looking forward to giving it a try.
I saw up towards $2000 on their website. I believe I’ll pass.
$1,260.

What is the weight of the stock?
I think 32 oz
No joke. All that babbling and the actual weight was never discussed. Commercial.
@@jamesross94692 lbs & it was said in the first 2.5 min of the video.
he said it was in the 2 pound weight class... so not necessarily 32 ounces .
DAMN IT !!! I just got a stock from them for my light weight short 308. Oh well I'll get one for my 8.6blkout.
What actions will they be built for? Remington 700 clones or many different kinds? Beautiful stock! Might have to splurge on this one 👏
Pass the Grayboe..
Appreciate you very much!! Think I have everything I need to know now.❤❤

Just need shorter wait times. That's the hard part. Great stocks
Buuuut more importantly did you roll size any of that barrel of 5.56 brass and have/are you running the completed rounds through a case gauge?
What would I do, well as far as I can tell it's available in Impact or Impact, or you guessed it Impact. So what I'll do is wait and see.
Nice stock would consider it if I was in the market of building a light weight hunting rifle

I appreciate brining new products to light, especially when you have the owner participating in the video. Not for you then don’t watch it.
