Matt's intro for Tim is priceless! Everything about this video was fun to watch! I have to tell you guys thank you for the past two or three weeks worth of videos. I used almost everything I learned from them and was able to apply it to my fishing this past weekend. You all are the best and very much appreciated.
I river fish weekly like this for Shoal Bass for the past 30 years. Not sure if you know the drag chain trick but it's the best for drifting down. It slows the boat down but mostly to keep the boat straight. Use a 1/2 inch chain maybe 18 inches long with a big carabiner in case you need to put a second chain on. Message me if you are interested in catching these beautiful Shoal Bass that are only in Georgia and I'll tell you where to put in at. I love all your content and thanks for all the hard work you guys do to teach us what you know.
Loved it when they was running to there spot going through those Rapids and Tim's on front getting footage and matt let's out that classic laugh of his ha ha ha ha ha!!!!! Like oh yeah!!! How's this for different.
You guys are my heroes! I fish the South Holsten river. I really like that you can fish the skinny and fast water for small mouth and then move to the slower water and fish cover for largemouth. There is no shortage of great fishing here in East TN. By the way, I run a mud motor for my river boat. It runs through the grass pretty good, but don't hit a rock with the prop!
Matts laugh when he catches a fish he wasn't expecting is so funny. Its almost like he doesn't want to insult the fish he just caught. Like the trout around the 2:18 mark in this video.
Very familiar waters to me as I have spent many hours on that river. Great job navigating some very skinny waters. You passed by some awesome honey holes to fish at specific times of the year for both big walleyes and big brown trout. River is full of all the warm water and cold water species, and has contributed more state record fish than about any other body of water. Gotta be one of my favorite videos of you two for a bunch of reasons.
The both of these guys are awesome always good information, missed them when they moved from California but I still watch because there super Rad & explained what's going on & dont hold back information, thank you Tim & Matt you two Rock.
I love watching BOTH of you guys but there’s something about Matt’s laugh that is so darn satisfying 🤣👍 I love it! 🙂 Another genuine video that needs no gimmicks in order to be Amazing! 💪🤨
Im happy that y'all finally got the jet boat out! Also my favorite shallow skinny water! I am a river guy myself , way different than fishing on the lake. You will because the nature of the moving water ,run into more challenge's, such as positioning and the like, but it cause's a man or woman to have to keep on there toes and to think outside of the box. LOVED IT:)
A good jet boat set up runs in 4" of water on plane vs 10" drift. serious river anglers run 36 volt trolling motors to ensure all day fishing. Good job wearing your life jackets and "learning" what your boat is capable of. There are jet boats designed with larger motors 200-250 h.p. which allow for dual fishing, rivers and lakes as their top speeds are in the low 40's. more than needed for rivers but enough to navigate lakes to a point. really good for fishing the shallower parts of lakes.
Love watching you guys fish together!! I was white knuckling the arms of the chair watching you guys rip down that shallow rocky river. Looks like a freaking blast!!!
Big Muskie are getting pretty common on parksville/ocoee lake, just sayin 😉 if y’all ever fish that lake, don’t use the sugarloaf mountain ramp, it’s notorious for vehicle break ins.
And yes Tim those little baby striper will tear you all to pieces and not think twiced about it!!! Just ask my hands!!!! Literally caught 40 plus the other night none bigger then 12 inches. I was trying to catch white perch and crappie on few docks I know about on Smith mountain lake with the green lights on bottom of lake using a 7'2" lews speed stick and a tiny spinning reel I use for trout fishing, and 4 pound test, using an 1/8 ounce crappie jig with Berkley gulp alive minnows baits and ran out of those and started using Bobby Garland baits. Caught em all the same though. You throw to where you almost hit dock flip bell, and let your bait pendulum back to you. And wham. Striper, crappie, white perch, yellow perch, sunfish of all species, large and small mouth, channel and flathead catfish, and pretty much anything h else that sees that gulp minnow. I can tell you one thing, I will be damiki rigging with those little bit bigger gulps minnows. Because literally nothing will turn them down. I just got my boat back out shop and just been play fishing while I've been breaking it in. Ain't even fished a tournament and ive had it for almost 3 weeks now. I might be sick lol.nah just been having to much fun fishing for what bites at night. Eating a few stripers, crappie, catfish, and white perch. Fun either way though
That was great guys! I love river fishing stripers! The only thing better than river fishing Stripers?? TOPWATER fishing Stripers on the river!! Y'all need to plan an TOPWATER evening. You'll hammer those smallies top water top! Love the jet!
Jet boat looks awesome? Currently about to move to lower portion of SC from Ohio, making last trip with kid & dogs in 3 days. Looking forward to striper fishing!
@@tacticalbassin Guys I have been running a jet boat for years. It is the funnest way to get the fish out there. I love what you guys do I love the continent and I would love to see more like this. If you haven’t already go look up 3b outdoors. Barry loupe and Nathan light Have been killing The big smallmouth out of a jet for years.
Great video guys! Enjoyed a cup o coffee on my 4th of July Monday off watchin' you guys have some awesome fun. What a blast! Thanks for sharing and I'm lookin' forward to more o' these river adventures!
I'm pretty sure this is the best video you've put out that I've seen so far. Multi species on a small swimbait, in the jet boat? Perfect day as far as I can tell.
You guys have no idea how lucky you are to be able to fish on any body of water you want. I’ve been fishing since I could walk and have never been freshwater fishing from a boat. 😥 Love your videos and all the tips and advice you give us! Nice to see you two back in the same boat.
I kayak fish the rivers.. but the mobility of a jet boat really interests me. No shuttles or worrying about getting back quick in the event of storm. Anyway, a good anchor would be a cheap solution to stay in current without burning too much battery. Love the content! If you want to make the drive, the French broad in the Knoxville area has some great jet boat areas.
We've fished that same stretch consecutively for 10 years now - I know you guys had a blast . We use a 3 inch Hellgrammite on a Zman Nedlock EWG . It simply catches everything in the river !!! Sweet video # 2👍👍
Yall caught me by surprise 😮with this one between the special guest and the jet boat really enjoyed the video. Good to see you and Tim tag teaming the water again together. 👍🏿
@@tacticalbassin definitely, we run it on the San Joaquin river, but it’s 400% below normal at the moment. We might try to get to our favorite pond, but it’ll be tough.
You guys need to check out the Holston and French Broad just north of Knoxville. Great smallmouth and beautiful country. Hope to see you guys out on Chickamauga this year.
Loved it when the “guest” was the EXACT guy i was hoping to see you fish with today! GREAT day

Smallmouth are my favorite fish to catch...they are a beautiful fish! The ultimate TN grand slam!!!
They're a blast! Especially when you get them in current.
Matts laugh ripping through the sketchy section flat out... hahah me too man, me too. Checkers or wreckers, even out there hawg huntin'
Ha! Love it!!!
"checkers or wreckers" is my new favorite motto.

Killer boat!
Really enjoy fishing this river because it’s usually empty. That won’t last long on this small fishery. Blow out the lakes or the big river stuff.

Love jet boating a river. Many small mouth caught up here near Kingsport Tn
We'll get up that way soon 👍
I'm from Gray TN!
Sometimes it's nice to slow down, and explore something new and different! Beautiful scenery, and some nice fish.
That was pretty wild, between running through those shallow rapids to playing out that monster at the end, doesn't get much better than that!!!
It was a blast!!
Love seeing some river fishin!
Them smallies fight hard enough, add some current dang!!
You guys need to bring the jet boat down to NW Ga and explore Big Cedar Creek and the Etowah River!
How deep is lake Kanter deep waters.
