The gameplay : watching creature fight by themselfs for 10 to 15 min while only be able to heal them or trigger ult with some repetitives minigames.
I'm sorry but the gameplay of yo-kai watch is really not the thing I would have call "increidible". I do agree that this game is insanely good for its ost, bosses, characters, collection-based aspect and especially the story and I really love this game for those reasons. But the gameplay ? Meh... Not really.

At the time of this game coming out I was in fifth grade and im staying up past 10:30 (which was really late for me at this age). Im staying up this late to have extra time to play Yokai Watch, the game I received as an early birthday present from grandma, as I play through the game I get to chapter 3 "Protect the Seals" where I defeat Tengloom, Peckpocket, and Mochismo with my basic beginner team of Dismerelda, Cadin, Roughraff, Dimmy, Tattletell, and Jibanyan. After these events I go to the final seal near the school where I watch the unholy horror that was Slimamander crawl out from the Seal that I was supposed to protect. The battle begins, I see the ominous purple health bar, and a tutorial from Whisper explaining how to fend off this beast, and the music. This music here got me immersed in the game! It took everything in my 11 year old self to keep quiet and not wake up my parents. This theme jump started my love for the Yokai Watch series and years later I couldn't be happier to revisit the first three games.
To the five people who took the time to read this,thank you, and remember, a game isn't truly dead as long as there is somebody still playing it somewhere out there.

I defeated slimander yesterday I got yo kai watch for my birthday and it was terrifying and hard .

@Beanie6900 MR. Goodsight is a yokai who disguises as a human (many other yokai do this too, like the blue bird guy in one of the chapters trying to break the seal)

This is better in every fucking sense than Pokemon, plot, characters, gameplay, difficulty, what an amazing franchise it was
When I had an Nintendo 3ds and played yw1 when a boss battle was going to happen I always paused the game in objects to hear this masterpiece.
When the mini bosses in this game are stronger than the Elite 4 in pokemon 💀💀💀

As someone who barely is Gen alpha i have played the 3ds games, I’ve got a second 3ds so i m gonna hack the it and let my 9 year old cousin borrow it so he experiences the joy of playing yo kai watch.
This and skylanders are my childhood!
Maybe not only one day the switch port will come to the US, but Yo Kai Watch 2&3 will also receive switch ports.
Most can't, but surprisingly a lot of them are, guess there's a lot of people helping keep this franchise alive

On yo kai watch 2 I get snartle with my yo kai watch rank c and damn it was hard because he didn't want to join me
But having a level 41 when none of my yo kai were above level 30 was cool

when you beat Wobblewok the Infinite Inferno resets, but does that increase the stats of the bosses? I’ve beaten him a lot of times, and i feel like they all get buffed.
