Exactly. He's probably going to vote and knows that Trump is a repugnant but doesn't have the guts to stand by his decision which should give him pause. Not to stereotype but i have worked with a few Cubans mostly white and they all have the and incredible anti-socialist attitude which is understandable given the corruption of the Castro's regime; they have this (Ayn) Randian view of the world that tends to say "the hell with every one else" as well as allows them to be very comfortable with anti-blackness. As a byproduct of the Cold War they get a big freebie which is the policy that lets them fast track through immigration.

Clay thank you for this exchange! I am a Black Cuban and am totally baffled by so many Cubans picking up the Trump mantle. What I heard in this exchange was miseducation and deductive fallacy. It is probably the first time I have heard a white Cuban allow himself to be schooled on political ideology identity race and clarity of thought. So glad “ he” discovered your show.

I got the feeling that he called in to defend Trump but because of your technique, he was neutralized. He had no argument. All he could do was agree with just about everything you said. He will not vote for Kamala but he now knows that voting for Trump is wrong. Well done.

And he emphasizes the "White" part. That speaks volumes on his outlook and how he feels about black people. Almost a waste of breath to argue with a racist.
If you ever get the chance, you should have a Spanish speaker translate anything on Telemundo and Univision that involved Black people. You will hear some seriously racist stuff being spoken with a straight face because they know most people in his country won't understand them. I remember when they were covering the George Floyd riots some woman was on there talking about Black people being possessed by evil spirits.
