Producer: J.D Kendis
Directors: Elmer Clifton, Lewis D. Collins
Stars: Joy Reese, Kay Morley, Michael Owen, and Johnny Duncan
Sisters Katy and Laura are about to hit the dating scene, which isn't smiled upon by their widowed father. Soon Laura starts going around with a bad guy while Katy and her friends start a "Jive" club where they can listen to music and drink milk. However, the club gets into trouble when someone spikes the milk. Re-released by Social Service Pictures in 1959 as "Hoodlum Girls."
TRIVIA: Johnny Duncan played Robin the Boy Wonder in the 15-chapter serial "Batman and Robin" released in 1949 by Columbia Pictures, a sequel to the 1943 serial "Batman." - Фільми й анімація
That truant officer really believes in the power of a "jive club".
Starring: No one! Love the ‘B’s’ - thanks for posting.
30 minutes of bad melodrama and 30 minutes of specialty acts. Karl Kiffe, the drummer, was a member of Jimmy Dorsey's band on and off in addition to playing with any number of jazz legends, including Ella Fitzgerald and June Christy. Lindsay, Laverne, & Betty were one of a small group of dancing girl acrobatic trios that appeared as specialty acts in musical films; this group performed most notably with The Three Stooges. Betty (Pharr) died in 2022, the last survivor of the trio. The other interesting actor here is Johnny Duncan, the jitterbugger (he taught Lana Turner how to jitterbug). He was the second person to play Robin, the Boy Wonder, in the serialized "Batman and Robin," and also had his head chopped off by Kirk Douglas in SPARTACUS.
You should see The Devil's Harvest then.
An "expose"on the drug trade made by a guy whose girlfriend wanted to be a dancer. Hope you like class recitals
@@robotrix I caught The Devil's Harvest ages ago, and I see it's on YT so time for a re-viewing!
Can't stand these computer generated movies from the 40's. The movies of today are much better.
Hep talk and Hep broads - I'm luvin' ❤it!😯💯💙💜🖤👍❤!
Just as relevant today. 'Al' is a real go-getter.
Why would the bartender write a song that's too low for his own voice?!
He was acting full of hope.
That war-years space in between jazzbabies and flappers on one end, and beatniks and hippies on the other. Where’s the kool cats … the zootsuiters?
They are OUT OF CONTROL
Sick sick movie!!
Thx P F 👍🇺🇸👍
Homeschool your children if you want them to survive! 😉👍
Especially with the public schools in 2024
And have zero social skills
My child survived just fine in public school, thanks.
@@TheKazadoodle survived what?
@@Sealight007 Public school - obviously.
The director of Marihuana: The Devil's Weed? Uh boy...
Hi Robotrix 🍕you may be the only one who appreciates this movie 🍕May the Sauce be with you 🍕
@@PizzaFLIX I love all these roadshow "morality tales" and "health" films that were mostly just an excuse for nude shots, showing "sin" and selling pamphlets in the aisles. 😉
I know it would be a really big favor but if you have a copy of the movie that was originally called Race Suicide (a/k/a Victims of Passion) could you please post it?
Think people would appreciate it and I've lost track of my copy.
@@PizzaFLIX not by a long shot 😉👍👍
The dad looks to be in his late forties so maybe he was about the girls' age in 1915. If so the quarter his parents gave him in allowance would be worth about $1.78 in 1945 and he only gives them a dollar. This is not bad as teen-exploitation movies go.
And this, dear friends, is how 4th tier actors and actresses made a living way back when. "Starring" in bottom of the barrel schlock for a few filthy bucks so they could tell their folks back in Ioway that they were working in Hollywood!
Oh please, if you don't like it, just go somewhere else instead of being a Debbie Downer.
PEOPLE DON'T NEED A JIV CLUB 🤔
THEY NEED JESUS ♥️
Nobody over 7 needs an imaginary fiend.
