GT was lovely. But her teeth were really crooked and weird looking overbite/alignment & messed up, too bad she didn't get braces. Or were they even available back then? Maybe that is why she never smiled with her teeth in he pics much? Plus, she was a little overweight and had to starve herself to stay thin I read. She was definitely "hippy."
She came from a wealthy family, so having braces was not an issue ( My father and his sister had braces -1923-1926 ). The concern was that straightening her teeth might change the shape of her face, so Doctors decided against it.. Her weight was also controlled by chain smoking.
@@1953childstar Thank you for the interesting trivia and information. I actually knew about the chain smoking to keep her weight in-check. So, producers back then would place their hands non her waist and feel her up and down and tell her if she was getting too fat---how awful! I have always liked Gene Tierney--class act--and thought she was lovely. However, my favorite actress to me, the one who is the most supremely beautiful of all and who eclipses all others, is surreal Grace Kelly in my humble opinion. Thank you again.
She and Grace Kelly will always be in my top 2 of most beautiful screen legends. The face, the figure, the whole vibe!

We age a bit slower now. Also black and white pictures tend to add age.
