Hey guys, I'm sorry I wasn't able to dive too much into each of the MVs, this whole idea was very last second, and the thought of doing a double reaction and trying to dive as much as possible into each MV, honestly, made me very anxious haha! Regardless, I wanted to show my love for Ateez as we get ready for their comeback :)
I think a great lead up for you to the new comeback would be a listen to their latest album (the one Guerilla is on) because it really sets the dystopian mood for Halazia. Plus it’s one of, if not the, strongest albums they’ve ever thematically released
@@DGReacts don’t worry you did great, we love your feed back. If you want another video marathon you could do wave, illusion, eternal sunshine and turbulence, also their new side track mini album just released halazia, dear lord it’s amazing. I hope you can get to it love you dg❤
Don't sweat yourself about the whole Lore. It's actually very huge and even ATINYs have difficulty grasping it. Their producer created this whole story prior to their debut including songs they'll release in the future, and we are all barely scratching the surface of the story. Hahahahaha. For now, just enjoy listening to ATEEZ and be in awe of their performance (what more if you see them Live). And if you have decided to dig in to the story, prepare yourself. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
One very interesting thing is- "Responding to that call" (say my name) "When I was called" (say my name) "Call, call, call us right now" (Answer) "One ring to rule them all" (ring) And everytime that their lyrics talk about the "bell" or "calling", it's actually a call of (declaration or emergence) that church bell we hear at the end of guerilla mv. That same bell that we can hear ringing for a certain number of time (10 ig) in that 30min long teaser for WITNESS in that abandoned mall in Thailand. If we are right, and if THE WITNESS storyline stretches back to Treasure series, that means the Halateez is trapped around this era. (Look how Halateez are talking about the "call" and trying to reach the high place "utopia") "My past is burning" could also refer to the fireworks mv, especially with wooyoung holding the lighter and burning things (also reminds us of the witness teaser where the diary is now burnt and the pages distorted. Its almost like the tale of their past is burning because of somebody (a traiter?) as we can nomore understand their origin since the diary is burnt. Then the witness prologue teaser where the halateez scarecrow is burning signifying the fact that Halateez will never return anymore. They're probably dead and in the end of the teaser how Seonghwa is left standing with several men in black coats? The same people from say my name mv! According to the new comeback tomorrow, if Halateez are trapped (and this is them telling us how they started or what their aim is), then the "ring" of the bell will bring the other 8 together (Feverteez) so they can either rescue halateez by taking their places in the Strictland or just by playing Halateez's part and continuing their job (assuming that the Halateez is now dead). Also, I once read that holding flags like how ateez by the end of wonderland mv were holding, is a sign of respecting the dead. However, it didn't mean any sense that time but now that I think, I feel, what if in wonderland, it wasn't halateez performing? We see woo chained and probably others are too. They might even be dead and since feverteez disguised themselves as halateez, it might just be them performing it and them honouring the dead? (I.e. halateez) "Breaking the wall" refers to the breaking of the walk in the guerilla mv. They're encouraging others to break the obstacle and open up the NEW WORLD, the Wonderland that is right in front of them. Wonderland can actually be a 2.0 version of guerilla if we look at it that way. San's lyrics of will we stop here, the goal is right in front of us. He is probably talking to the citizens of strictland and asking them to come forth to enter the "New World". In short, if I interpret these mvs with THE WITNESS, the NEW 8 are asking to CALL their name so they can take over again. Ring the bell and say their name. People are hoping for halateez to return but they're probably dead but they dk that. These new pair of halateez (feverteez in disguise) will now gather round at that abandoned mall where the HALAZIA music video is shot obviously. They will fight or encounter (a chance encounter) with the strictland government or the android guardians that would "alter the course of their path". Fun fact about rewatching ATEEZ's older mvs is that you start to get the references in the lyrics. It's almost like going back in time to relate what's happening in the present. Very interesting.
@rhiannahayler7604 I sometimes make on my Instagram but most of the time I don't get much time. Will definitely try to do an in-depth analysis 👍🏻 ^_^. Glad it helped.
I personally got the feeling that it IS Halateez in Halazia. Showing how they've been persecuted and their world destroyed. It makes sense that Halateez want to help Ateez repair their universe because their own is destroyed
41:03 fun fact: as someone already mentioned, they add spoiler snippets of songs it the end of the mvs and here you can hear the start of "sector 1" - a song from their last album ("the world ep.1:movement")
I think you picked some good MVs to watch together, there are definitely a lot of parallels and references between these. The burned painting you mentioned in Say My Name, for example (Jongho solo scene in the museum), was used as a promo photo for Fireworks about two years later. Answer was also performed on Kingdom and there were some storyline parallels in that performance as well, such as Yeosang starting the performance stuck in the same box he was in in Say My Name. But don't worry, a lot of us Atiny need several watches to pick some things up! Ateez keeps everyone on their toes!
also: please don’t feel discouraged when you don’t get the lore and feel like an idiot because i feel like every atiny feels like one when it comes to this haha. we're all clowns here ✨
Some of the really subtle things that are native to ATEEZ: 1) the shadows on the Wonderland end flag only move/flash for one member; 2) flags have been part of their story since their Treasure debut, and the group logo has changed for each era; 3) the little sound teasers before/after represent upcoming songs, as you noted with The Real at the end of Fireworks, and yet they were promoting Fireworks during the filming of Kingdom, and then did The Real at Kingdom (before a year-end actual release). We waited 2 years between Answer's gorgeous opening sounds for them to appear in an actual song (Sector 1). There's playing the "long game" and then there's ATEEZ lore, and we've learned from our captain that we're about 50% of the way through the story overall. Yay for having so much to look forward to! But just things that you see early on become things in other places later -- butterflies here number 7 plus Wooyoung as 8, then we see the butterfly on Yeosang's hand in Deja Vu. If you're at all interested in the lore, the hints they give, those crazy details, there's a whole subsection of ATINY fans who love piecing things together and pointing things out. And there's further explanations in video form, in written texts from the albums, etc. Soooo happy to see you do this dive, though I think your order is a little off in terms of release order. Thank you so much for bringing your insight and passion (and you're so good at noticing details!) to these reviews.
@@Leslan7 Many, actually, because everything is still just unconfirmed theory by those who enjoy watching, analyzing and thinking through what things could mean. I watched through the Bookish Theories videos, and found the connections made there particularly intriguing, but then I've also just read comments here and there and thought they made a lot of sense. :)
I think their songs are meant to have multiple meanings especially for the real world, and I think you do a great job of pulling out meaningful metaphors. Thanks for the reaction!
As atinys say, "ATEEZ sailed the way!" 🏴☠They are indeed doing their own thing unapologetically - and have said as much in an interview too. This was delightful - if you want to see more of ATEEZ' origin story (not halateez), then check out their short film "Fever Diary film pt 1" and also "Zero Fever pt 2 concept trailer". Also you can actually take quite a lot literally in their MV's and storyline - sure they use tons of symbolism too but a lot of the story is literally there. Like ATEEZ and halateez being two separate entities - ATEEZ are from dimension A, halateez (or Black Pirates) from dimension Z. And the white masked man is hunting ATEEZ, it's an android guardian sent after the Black Pirates & ATEEZ by dimension Z' totalitarian government. There's so much to it so I wont write on an essay, just thank you for this because it truly was fun to hear all your thoughts and see how excited you got during the songs! And gonna add that their storyline doesn't go in chronological order which means the MV's won't tell the story in chronological order either. But Answer was the ending song of the Treasure era, the song references a lot of previous points of their journey as you noticed. Answer is our queen, the emotions that song evokes is just something else. I would suggest you rewatch all of ATEEZ Kingdom performances too now (the introduction stage Wave too) now that you have seen the original songs and know a bit more about the storyline. There's so much about the story in those stages!
Fireworks and Wonderland are some of my favorites by them, so happy to see these reactions! 'Being sober and still feeling drunk' is the best way to describe listening to their music haha
I love re-watching this and hearing your thoughts. I forget how beautiful the lyrics are. Ateez is just so musically talented. I love how different their sound is, it's the layers and arrangements on their songs. I love them!
this dude might be the nicest person ive ever seen online, came here coz ateez but im deff subscribing, dont put yourself down tho were all learning :) also ur production u put into the videos ... wow
Loved it when watching Fireworks you said ‘Goddamn San’… because the man is a beast!! I love his passion and fire with dancing…. which he wasn’t proficient in before joining Ateez! His expression is one of the best in 4th Gen, only Hyunjin of Stray Kids can compare. I love you are delving into the lore because I get a little lost sometimes too but what I get is Ateez are pirates representing freedom and individuality fighting against the soulless dystopian world but they can fight with integrity as Ateez or in a much darker no rules kind of way as Halateez. I may be wrong but that’s what I am getting. Loving your reactions so much.
Thanxx for reaction. An interesting fact, often at the end of their MVs there is a spoiler for a future song. For example in Thanxx - Fireworks spoiler, Fireworks - The Real, Answer - Sector 1, Deja vu - Turbulence.
OMG!! Thank you so much for this, especially now that tomorrow's the day their new song will be released. Ateez is just built different, never afraid to try out different genres but still being committed to their lore. On a side note, it's really hard to understand their storyline at first (well at least for me, given that I'm an Atiny but my mind's literally bleeding) But I also want to make things clear for you. Basically, there's Ateez and Halateez (the black pirates). Both of them are allies against the Android guardians. They run across dimensions using a cromer (hourglass, in simple term). I honestly want to expand the explanation but I'm afraid I might be wrong with the details so yeah. It's just goosebumps whenever Ateez releases bits of their lore every comeback. My theories for this comeback are the following: 1. Halateez probably died. Since they were used as scare crows, idk maybe to serve as a warning to the people to never talk about Halateez. 2. That leads to the second one, Ateez and Halateez merged in souls and minds. Since Seonghwa glitched in the prologue video. 3. They might win against the villains now (?) But according to Hongjoong, we're just 50% of their plot.
I read at Rolling Stone India article...they make symbol of Halateez(scarecrow) was already in the past era...Then a new 8(Ateez) will replace them to fight the govt.
I think it's more probable that the spin off happens when Halateez are trapped in the android bunker, when they bring in Ateez to help (since they said it isn't set after Guerrilla and Halateez are OK in Guerrilla's Diary text)
42:12 Halateez and Ateez are two different people, if that helps. Think inter-dimensional time travel (as crazy as it’s sounds). Halateez needs Ateez’s help to bring down a controlling government (the guy in white at the end is sorta like an enforcer in the world of Halateez) which is the premise of Guerrilla. As brief as this pseudo explanation is, I hope it helps in some way! Loved your reactions to some of my favorite songs.
All I want to know is when is the Ateez movie?! because this storyline they have would make a hell of a movie. Atiny, we need one! Awesome reaction Daniel, no worries being confused at times. I have been an Atiny for a long time and still struggle with the Ateez story.
Yay! I'm here for ATEEZ! Just in time for their come back tomorrow!! Ateez is so amazing. And their dance practices are a must watch when you get a chance!
Can I just say, as a THANXX enthusiast. Thank you for being one of the only reactors ive watched that actually fully understood and absorbed the message that the song gave. I feel like so many others overlook it and miss out on the anthem.
A lot of your theories are really interesting! And if you're off base with stuff don't worry too much. A lot of us have theories that don't pan out. I think it's just really cool that Ateez storyline music and concepts are so intricate that there can be many plausible interpretations
Thanks for sharing your reaction. I appreciate the time and thought you put into this. I feel like there are several layers of enjoying ATEEZ songs. One is just enjoying the song and video itself as a musical/visual artwork. Another is the messaging in their lyrics. A third is how the lyrics and images weave into their lore. I cycle through these layers as the mood or song strikes me. 😊
Answer is my all-time favourite ATEEZ song and one of my top 3 kpop songs of all time. I can't understand what it is about this song that makes me so emotional every time I listen to it. It's just perfect
YASS ATEEZ!! when I tell you these guys became my ultimate group as soon as I discovered them. They are phenomenal and im not exaggerating.. I hope you love them too because the songs you're checking out are probably thier bests lol
6:53 Awww I was sooo Happy to watch Thanxxx MV again with you. It've been a long time. I love the lyrics of the song and the song itself, and the dances that comes with it. 9:49 I just saw the live short video of Mingi singing his Bulnoriya part live on instagram and was so happy. When I discovered them with this MV he's the one that catched my ear EVEN while not being there on the screen (I remember I was searching actively WHO was the owner of the voice... I learned later that I it was in vain xD). He's the reason why I started digging. 18:34 I have to confess the first seconds of Say My Name frustrate me a bit xD I don't really like how it starts and I think it doesn't fit the rest BUT ! It's also part of ATEEZ, to suprise us so, I won't complain. And the rest of the song is FIRE ! The MV is cool, mysterious and meaningfull too, just like you said. Rest of the reaction for another day, "cause I don't want to annoy my temporary roomate with my typing sounds.
Loved this! ATEEZ holds a special place in my heart as they were one of the first Kpop groups I discovered and my love for them is still going strong! ❤ Thank you as always!
a lot of atiny have no idea what's going on in the ateez universe so you're totally not alone! :-) thank you for spotlighting our boys with this video! if you're interested in hearing a very abridged version of their lore this video is the best and easiest to understand: ua-cam.com/video/_iHUOW-m1TQ/v-deo.html but please don't feel bad about not understanding everything in the storyline, so many fans have no idea what's going on, we're just here for the ride :-)
when i saw this video in my notifications i literally shouted YEESS 😂I'm sooo glad you dived deeper into Ateez!! They are obviously one of the most talented groups out there and i believe that they make you feel a unique connection with their music. It is also insane how consistent they are with their concept and storyline! I came here right after watching Halazia, which completely d e s t r o y e d me. You should defintely check it out!
I love your interpretations, they're always on point and even If I have watched the mvs a hundred times, you always make me realize something new! Thank you for diving into ATEEZ, I really love them and they deserve a lot more recognition!
2:12 I’m sorry that you felt self conscious about your reaction! Ateez has one of the most complicated storylines and I would definitely suggest looking up some of the guides you can read specifically about the story line as well as the diary entries from their albums. Cause once you ‘get it’ (as much as any Atiny can claim to get it 😂) it’s kind of mind blowing and rewatching the videos with that new understanding is kind of amazing. Thanks for doing this spotlight on such an amazing group!
Very strong boyband I love ateez so much♥♥♥ they are such an amazing group and they are so talented very strong performances. Very special song. Fire kings🔥🔥🔥🔥
yay Ateez! they are such a talented group and amazing storytellers! I love your reactions to them and your analysis and theories of their mv's! I hope you are having a good day and ready for this comeback!🖤
The entire vocal line is just so impressive. Jongho grabs the spotlight, but Seonghwa, San, Yunho and Wooyoung all have the ability to kill those high notes.
Putting the lore together yourself at the end there gave ME chills, after taking such an analytical approach through the videos and then boom getting there. I love that moment for people. This is why I watch reactions.
Oh boy, these guys are awesome! Finally got to see them live earlier in Dec.!! I found ATEEZ ,BTS, EXO, TAEMIN, BADICALLY around the same time in 2018, overwhelmed was an understatement. But ATEEZ stood out, after BTS.
Thank you so much for reacting to ateez ❤ don’t worry about not releasing the spin off reaction, we too are lost with the lore but thankfully there are a lot of people who go really deep with it. One video/account that I have found really helpful to understand the storyline is this 2 min video that gets you up to date for the cb ua-cam.com/video/_iHUOW-m1TQ/v-deo.html I definitely recommend checking that out if you want!
I often say it to me what makes the difference between Ateez and many other bands is that we can see and feel how pationned and energetic they are. I see that at Kep1er too and at SKZ. but it's the only 3 bands that are really aggressive (in a good way). the ATEEZ dance practices are very impressive. Wonderland, Horizon and Win are very very demanding dances.
ateez are insane. the fact that they started their storyline from the end "treasure series" ( i think they will continue the story after 'answer ' in the future) was really BIG BRAIN from them indeed. i really like your reactions and to your opinions on it 🧡
Just for your info, the little tune/music you hear at the end of Answer , its actually the beginning of the song Sector 1 which was in their latest album world movement :D
Thanks for reacting to Ateez, I'm also just trying to understand the stoty line but it is very interesting and encourages me more I am very happy to be present at this comeback, I feel like I'll get more answers
ohhhhhh i really liked this video sm even if u didn't catch everything and u r kinda new to them but u really did a great job by understanding a lot of things also the lyrics meaning u r so good at it... i hope u will continue doing this series because they have a very amazing b side songs too i think all of my fav ateez songs are b side also they all have a very beautiful voices that shows in their soft songs more and btw i don't know if u watched kingdom as a whole thing or just the performances but hongjoong did all the remix of the songs they performs in kingdom he is a genius producer and songwriter fun fact: there is a demon line in ateez consists of hongjoong, seonghwa and san lol and that is because of their insane duality between their real personalities and the way they perform
Hi Daniel, I freaking looooooove this intro. It's so good. When I saw your upload, I couldn't believe we never checked this songs out. But I'm happy to watch this now. I'm not the biggest Atiny, but I really like this song so much.... so you definitely made my day by reacting to ALL my favourite Ateez songs (#soulmate😜) Thanxx: This was my 2nd Ateez song, and I loved it from the beginning. It's such a bop. And the visuals are definitely my type of suit. SAN is looking hilariously good. The last part in front of this massive stage is insane. As you know, I love the type of stuff with all the skulls and so on. Fireworks: this was released at the time they were in the kingdom. The rapping of Hongjoon is such a mood. And the chorus I had burned it into my brain at this time. I was listening a lot to this and I still like this a lot.. Yosang is looking like a human statue in this mv... it's awesome. Sadly, Mingi was not able to do the mv because of his hiatus, but they included him in the radio. Sidenote: San's outfit in this era was killing everyone....including me😅 Say my name: the song with the legendary moves 😄 it's such a chill sing for me. The concept of the facing themselves was mind-blowing in this era. Wonderland (besides Hala Hala): This song was my first Ateez song, and it's still my absolute favourite. This is such an epic anthem. The reference to Peter Pan and the list of kids is so good. The visuals are insane and the 3d effects of the mv are mind-blowing. San's facial expressions are very good every time.... he was unleashing the demon in this song. Like in Hala Hala. Answer: It starts with San's killing part 😄 This is a good song, too. But I can only listen to it when I'm sad. I have to have the right mood for this. And when I'm in that mood, it's so fitting. But the choreography of the chorus is a little problematic. (Wooyoung, how dare you 🤪). I can't remember if I told you that San destroyed about 100 headmics at Hala Hala live stages.... if not, here's a link to one of the stages: ua-cam.com/video/eD8LRTZlV9I/v-deo.html O loved this reaction and the analysis as always. I am looking forward to a very awesome year with your reactions to calm down when I'm stressed af. Thx for that, dearest.
Thank you, and I hope you weren’t too anxious, great job and excellent way to share and also bring maybe new atiny into the fold as they get more curious before a comeback. There is soooooo much lore lol I can’t even at this point, even after HJ actually addressed some of it I think we just got more confused lol I am wondering if it’s like a loop where they defeated the giants (dude with sparkly mask in white, lol moonlight not connected I’m afraid) with hala ateez and now they BECOME their own hala (black hat) crew in this reality. Firework had them in another place and that’s how yeosang was stuck there until pulled back by the others. But really it’s just exciting no matter how you look at it. If all the fandom rose up like a v for vendetta style cause, their songs would be part of the revolution lol honest if all the groups split and became an actual leadership and then imagine all the little lights in the Tokyo dome, or in all the concerts all came, all together. There would be no task impossible. I don’t wish anarchy lol but passion again to push back against hate, stop this wave of negative politics and attitudes in the world. It may be for some just music, and a lot of folks have shared similar to me that their enjoyment of kpop garners scoffs or dismissal from friends and family but I don’t get why. Music is universal and the songs we love inspire, emote and push us so what makes any one type lesser. The answer is that it isn’t. Ateez have a unique foot in the door, not to the detriment of any others as they have other ways of doing similar, but with their story and style they really have such a core sense of ask questions, look at the world, don’t just accept what you are told to think or do and say. Many others have engrossing lore but it’s not external I don’t ask anything of myself. It’s still amazing and I love it but with ateez what can seem like a mv of a world in a movie when you look is actually scarily too close to reality. It’s not another world it’s in this one right now. This IS the call to think and look and ask questions, hold wrong doing accountable and fight actual evil that is really present. That got suuuuuuuper dark lol but it’s just I’m not even hard atiny stan yet I feel like it’s a group I am always happy to walk with. Answer is prob my fav track, it just had me in a vice when that dropped. I really find bookish theories helpful in pulling the lore together there is an explained for each mv and overviews if you are looking for vids to help get your head around and someone posted the parts of HJ answering some of the lore questions too I think. Also eternitieez♾️ Looking forward to new mv and story and seeing what you think! 🎉
Hey, you! Thanks for the shout out! 😁 It’s been a while since I commented, and I’ve certainly missed seeing your videos. Just a busy semester with a new job, but I love it. Not quite as much time for watching reactions, though, but I’m determined to change that in 2023! I’m so thrilled to see you reacting to “Firework” here!!! I requested it quite a while back, but I know you’ve been swamped with so many other recommendations. Just glad to see you loving it as much as I do. Those guys gave it 110%, and it certainly shows! Hope all is well with you! Keep doing the awesome reactions, and I promise to catch up on them. Wishing you a phenomenal New Year from Texas! 🎉❤
It's great to hear from you again, Becky! Happy to hear you're loving your new job and congrats on that too btw :) Wishing you nothing but the absolute best in 2023, always appreciate your support! 🖤
Enjoyed your reaction, I'm new. I appreciate how you understood the story elements throughout the music video. As well as your input on the musical elements.
I can NOT tell you how excited I was to see this from you! I know how much you like the guys so I’m happy that you found some time to dive a little deeper into their discography. They literally have no skips in my opinion lol
they're concept and they're song " firework " fit with the last 2 mv's of DC it's the same kind of message maison and firework mixed and sing by DC and ATEEZ . i know i dream but that could be so cool .
Not a request, but something you might find interesting to do on your own time (as I did) now that you've seen all the original videos for the songs they did on Kingdom (except Wave*), would be to go back and just re-watch all their Kingdom performances now that you are more familiar with the original versions of the songs as well as the details interwoven in their concept/storyline because they tie in bits of these things into their Kingdom performances that are missed when they aren't already familiar or because they are so subtle (e.g., the newspaper held up in Rhythm Ta showing an image of Halateez), so going back to rewatch is super interesting. *If you ever do decide to watch the Wave video, I personally recommend doing it as a duo with Illusion, watching Illusion first and then Wave second, as they were released together.
I just want to say that regardless of the lore part of the songs being slightly missed, I don't even care about that, you have such a great way of sharing a parallel insight which is completely plausible also. Like I truly believe they are in actual fact running a parallel story in both the reality of the kpop industry that isn't quite what it should be (like a noble rebellion to the wrongs within the industry) alongside their made up storyline lore.. so why can't their songs have that same parallel....I love that I can see the lore part of the songs but you bring to us a different dimension of their songs. I totally come back every time. I'm still trying to play catch up with the Ateez reactions that you've done. But I'm totally enjoying it. Thank you for actually making me love their music even more (Didn't know it was possible)!
Your reactions were so relatable, especially Answer! I think you've read a lot of cues in Say My Name correctly, just sort of from the opposite side. That emptied out museum in the MV is where the government's android henchmen (men in white from Answer and Fireworks) keep prisoners (like Yeosang in the glass box) but what also happens there in the Halateez world (aka Strictland aka the Z dimension) is that people get brainwashed and their emotions are neutralised, but also, in extreme cases, their memories get stolen and burned - every time you see yellow-golden-orange smoke in their MVs it's the burned memories, and that smoke turns into hallucinogenic gas that traps people in trances made of dreams and memories (i.e. Inception and most probably Eternal Sunshine, maybe more). To help keep people's emotions under control art is banned, hidden or destroyed and reflective surfaces are covered up or smashed (like mirror shards in Say My Name, Answer and Fireworks) so that people couldn't see their own faces (which keeps them disassociated from their identities as well). So since at some point Halateez are also trapped in the boxes and possibly are under the influence of the gas, maybe have some memories missing, I think the cues you've pointed out are to an extent right, they just might apply to Halateez rather than to Ateez. Otherwise, Say My Name was the first MV with proper lore so I personally see it as a sort of a trailer for the first series with some scenes maybe more metaphorical than others.
i'm in my 4th year being an atiny but i am still clueless about this lore lmaooo. there's soooooo much going on. to the point where my understandings turning into ash as soon as a new video consisting ateez's lore comes out.
yes say my name comes right after Hala hala . their avatars with hats are present in their central story line. the thing is that they sometimes release several mv's that have nothing to do with their story line before resuming it. but their avatars with the hats are still present. I haven't really looked into their story but I'm sure it's very cool. knowing Hongjoong he has a hard time breaking his head over it.
🥰 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 8 makes 1 team!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I honestly wouldn't have had any problem watching a 2 hours video if it's ateez we're talking about!

I think a great lead up for you to the new comeback would be a listen to their latest album (the one Guerilla is on) because it really sets the dystopian mood for Halazia. Plus it’s one of, if not the, strongest albums they’ve ever thematically released

Jongho this guy he's just phenomenal one of the best male main vocal in kpop today .
38:45 "oh you beautiful bastard" LMAO
Don't sweat yourself about the whole Lore. It's actually very huge and even ATINYs have difficulty grasping it. Their producer created this whole story prior to their debut including songs they'll release in the future, and we are all barely scratching the surface of the story. Hahahahaha. For now, just enjoy listening to ATEEZ and be in awe of their performance (what more if you see them Live). And if you have decided to dig in to the story, prepare yourself. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
One very interesting thing is-
"Responding to that call" (say my name)
"When I was called" (say my name)
"Call, call, call us right now" (Answer)
"One ring to rule them all" (ring)
And everytime that their lyrics talk about the "bell" or "calling", it's actually a call of (declaration or emergence) that church bell we hear at the end of guerilla mv. That same bell that we can hear ringing for a certain number of time (10 ig) in that 30min long teaser for WITNESS in that abandoned mall in Thailand.
If we are right, and if THE WITNESS storyline stretches back to Treasure series, that means the Halateez is trapped around this era. (Look how Halateez are talking about the "call" and trying to reach the high place "utopia")
"My past is burning" could also refer to the fireworks mv, especially with wooyoung holding the lighter and burning things (also reminds us of the witness teaser where the diary is now burnt and the pages distorted.
(I.e. halateez)
"Breaking the wall" refers to the breaking of the walk in the guerilla mv.
Very interesting.
you definitely need to make a storyline guide man. This helped so much~!
@rhiannahayler7604 I sometimes make on my Instagram but most of the time I don't get much time. Will definitely try to do an in-depth analysis 👍🏻 ^_^. Glad it helped.
Please share your instagram @
I personally got the feeling that it IS Halateez in Halazia. Showing how they've been persecuted and their world destroyed. It makes sense that Halateez want to help Ateez repair their universe because their own is destroyed
At their concert, they were ateez and halateez on the screan at the same time, it was mindblowing
12:32 "goddamn, San, holy shit" is the motto of all Atinies :)
YES!! in my opinion the best group in 4th generation!!
I have noticed that Ateez doesn't have Bad songs, I love all their songs, they are a lot like EXO, talented and professional.
" oh you beautiful bastard"😂😂🤣🤣🤣
also: please don’t feel discouraged when you don’t get the lore and feel like an idiot because i feel like every atiny feels like one when it comes to this haha. we're all clowns here ✨
I'm an atiny for 2 years and still don't know half the stuff 💀😂
Being an Atiny means joining the clown parade. And it's fine. We are here to have a good time after all:-)
Ateez are the future of kpop
Thank you so much for bringing your insight and passion (and you're so good at noticing details!) to these reviews.
a little note - he said we'll be at 50% once we reach the end of The World series :)
Is there a place on Internet where somebody explains precisely all of this and more?
@@Leslan7 Many, actually, because everything is still just unconfirmed theory by those who enjoy watching, analyzing and thinking through what things could mean. I watched through the Bookish Theories videos, and found the connections made there particularly intriguing, but then I've also just read comments here and there and thought they made a lot of sense. :)
The ending of Answer is the beginning of one of their newer songs named Sector 1!
The intro of ATEEZ SONGS is insane MAN 🥵🥵🥵👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I love re-watching this and hearing your thoughts. I forget how beautiful the lyrics are. Ateez is just so musically talented. I love how different their sound is, it's the layers and arrangements on their songs. I love them!
this dude might be the nicest person ive ever seen online, came here coz ateez but im deff subscribing, dont put yourself down tho were all learning :) also ur production u put into the videos ... wow
Thank you so much, Peter!! 🙏
My theories for this comeback are the following:
Finally Ateez thank you so much 🤍
I still get chills when I hear Answer
instant like for ATEEZ👌 glad to see you checking out more of their MVs!
I'm obsessed with this intro!
I ADORE them!!! 😁
the final choruses of Say My Name and Answer gives me goosebumps till this day
They have new song dropping in like 8 hours!! Thank you for this! I have my popcorn ready!!
:-) thank you for spotlighting our boys with this video! if you're interested in hearing a very abridged version of their lore this video is the best and easiest to understand: ua-cam.com/video/_iHUOW-m1TQ/v-deo.html
but please don't feel bad about not understanding everything in the storyline, so many fans have no idea what's going on, we're just here for the ride :-)
I have never seen someone pay so much attention to Ateez's mvs, the appreciation of their art really shows, thank you very much
when i saw this video in my notifications i literally shouted YEESS 😂I'm sooo glad you dived deeper into Ateez!! They are obviously one of the most talented groups out there and i believe that they make you feel a unique connection with their music. It is also insane how consistent they are with their concept and storyline!
I came here right after watching Halazia, which completely d e s t r o y e d me. You should defintely check it out!
Noone can match the intensity of Ateez!!!!!! They are truly amazing!!!!!! I absolutely love your reactions!!!!!!
Ateez energy is unmatched! They always deliver & leave the audience speechless 🥰
Just wanted to scream "I LOVE YOUR BRAIN"!!! Love all of your analysis', your opinions, your insight...all of it!
Is yeosang a baritone?
@@user-qd5gr8ql2w I think so. He's the very deep voice.
@@bekahnavarro
He's also a vocalist right? . It's always fascinating how the idols with the most adorable/gorgeous faces have the deepest voices
@@user-qd5gr8ql2w Yeah. Like Felix from SKZ.
Putting the lore together yourself at the end there gave ME chills, after taking such an analytical approach through the videos and then boom getting there. I love that moment for people. This is why I watch reactions.
ATEEZ's lore / storyline are so wide and deep!
THANK YOU FOR REACTION
Thanks for reacting to Ateez again :) Love it
Just sharing, they're dropping a new MV later. Dec 30. 2pm kst
Random thought but I just realized you've become one of my favorite youtubers over this past year lol LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!
ohhhh so excited! perfect to watch while having lunch 😁
I love how you say exactly what is in your head! Don't ever stop because it's why your reactions are my favourite.
Ateez concept is 'Pirates'
Ateez 'wonderland' from MAMA 2019 is epic
It's hard to pick a favorite song when it comes to Ateez.
Oh how i wish you would read their lore! I just know you'd enjoy it
I often say it to me what makes the difference between Ateez and many other bands is that we can see and feel how pationned and energetic they are. I see that at Kep1er too and at SKZ. but it's the only 3 bands that are really aggressive (in a good way). the ATEEZ dance practices are very impressive. Wonderland, Horizon and Win are very very demanding dances.
Answer's mv end is Sector 1 from Guerrila's album
Haven’t started yet, but so excited! 🤍
ateez are insane. the fact that they started their storyline from the end "treasure series" ( i think they will continue the story after 'answer ' in the future) was really BIG BRAIN from them indeed.
i really like your reactions and to your opinions on it 🧡
A twist: Maybe the answers to all these is in the answer era tho 🤔🤔😝😜
Thanks for reaction all songs my boys (Ateez) ❤️
Just for your info, the little tune/music you hear at the end of Answer , its actually the beginning of the song Sector 1 which was in their latest album world movement :D
Thanks for reacting to Ateez, I'm also just trying to understand the stoty line but it is very interesting and encourages me more I am very happy to be present at this comeback, I feel like I'll get more answers
ohhhhhh i really liked this video sm even if u didn't catch everything and u r kinda new to them but u really did a great job by understanding a lot of things also the lyrics meaning u r so good at it...
i hope u will continue doing this series because they have a very amazing b side songs too i think all of my fav ateez songs are b side also they all have a very beautiful voices that shows in their soft songs more
and btw i don't know if u watched kingdom as a whole thing or just the performances but hongjoong did all the remix of the songs they performs in kingdom he is a genius producer and songwriter
fun fact: there is a demon line in ateez consists of hongjoong, seonghwa and san lol and that is because of their insane duality between their real personalities and the way they perform
I really like your reactions. You help me in trying to understand their lore better.
Hi Daniel,
I freaking looooooove this intro. It's so good.
When I saw your upload, I couldn't believe we never checked this songs out. But I'm happy to watch this now. I'm not the biggest Atiny, but I really like this song so much.... so you definitely made my day by reacting to ALL my favourite Ateez songs (#soulmate😜)
Thanxx: This was my 2nd Ateez song, and I loved it from the beginning.
Sidenote: San's outfit in this era was killing everyone....including me😅
Say my name: the song with the legendary moves 😄 it's such a chill sing for me.
Answer: It starts with San's killing part 😄
This is a good song, too. But I can only listen to it when I'm sad. I have to have the right mood for this. And when I'm in that mood, it's so fitting.
But the choreography of the chorus is a little problematic. (Wooyoung, how dare you 🤪).
I can't remember if I told you that San destroyed about 100 headmics at Hala Hala live stages.... if not, here's a link to one of the stages: ua-cam.com/video/eD8LRTZlV9I/v-deo.html
O loved this reaction and the analysis as always. I am looking forward to a very awesome year with your reactions to calm down when I'm stressed af. Thx for that, dearest.
I love this songs so much!!! ❤
Now you need to watch them dance practices for these songs :D
August 2024
And here I am watching this again
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you, and I hope you weren’t too anxious, great job and excellent way to share and also bring maybe new atiny into the fold as they get more curious before a comeback.
There is soooooo much lore lol I can’t even at this point, even after HJ actually addressed some of it I think we just got more confused lol
I am wondering if it’s like a loop where they defeated the giants (dude with sparkly mask in white, lol moonlight not connected I’m afraid) with hala ateez and now they BECOME their own hala (black hat) crew in this reality.
Also eternitieez♾️
Looking forward to new mv and story and seeing what you think! 🎉
This was so much fun. I love how you dive into MV's and, especially Ateez!!! Thank you so much for this extended reaction. It was awesome! 😁❤️
Hey, you! Thanks for the shout out! 😁
It’s been a while since I commented, and I’ve certainly missed seeing your videos.
Happy to hear you're loving your new job and congrats on that too btw :)
Wishing you nothing but the absolute best in 2023, always appreciate your support! 🖤
You’re reactions are so genuine..I love it 😌
"Oh you beautiful bastard" 😂😂
Enjoyed your reaction, I'm new. I appreciate how you understood the story elements throughout the music video. As well as your input on the musical elements.
i enjoyed this a lot, thank you soooo much!!!! can't wait for more ateez reactions ^^
you're amazing! love your reaction and your explication! thanxxx!
I can NOT tell you how excited I was to see this from you! I know how much you like the guys so I’m happy that you found some time to dive a little deeper into their discography. They literally have no skips in my opinion lol
Thanks sooo much for this reaction…but it’s after midnight here so I’m gonna save it & watch tomorrow morning on my way to work yessss….
they're concept and they're song " firework " fit with the last 2 mv's of DC it's the same kind of message maison and firework mixed and sing by DC and ATEEZ . i know i dream but that could be so cool .
Could be, considering Edenary produces for both groups!
@@pinkseonghwa yes why not
Not a request, but something you might find interesting to do on your own time (as I did) now that you've seen all the original videos for the songs they did on Kingdom (except Wave*), would be to go back and just re-watch all their Kingdom performances now that you are more familiar with the original versions of the songs as well as the details interwoven in their concept/storyline because they tie in bits of these things into their Kingdom performances that are missed when they aren't already familiar or because they are so subtle (e.g., the newspaper held up in Rhythm Ta showing an image of Halateez), so going back to rewatch is super interesting.
I love it❤️❤️❤️😭
Gracias por reaccionar a ATEEZ, son verdadero arte
yes say my name comes right after Hala hala . their avatars with hats are present in their central story line. the thing is that they sometimes release several mv's that have nothing to do with their story line before resuming it. but their avatars with the hats are still present. I haven't really looked into their story but I'm sure it's very cool. knowing Hongjoong he has a hard time breaking his head over it.
🥰 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 8 makes 1 team!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
