I was on-board with Ult Inv. Many doubted it and had unrealistic expectations. Possibly forgetting Hickman's ability to get the reader in, but there's where to come in the building. Patience pays off. I assume many have raised their first rating, after this world expanded.
This issue seeks to imply that Iron-Lad sent Hank his whole publication history and he saw the good and the very bad. Which makes me wonder if he did that with everyone he sent the origin boxes too.
@memetoze4291 I could easily see peter being so stuck in his middle life crisis that he immediately picked up the call to action but didn't read the instructions. That's some 616 peter logic.
FoS!!! I love how you mentioned the lack of bickering between Reed and Tony. I think Camp is the perfect writer to carry the Hickman Ultimate torch. Regarding Cap... I may be reaching here, but Camp might be paying homage to Hickman. Cap's ability to level Richards when he gets lost in his abyss of a brain. This is beautifully written and timed in Hickman's Avengers and New Avengers run.
I was worried about Ultimates since it was a direct continuation of the groundwork set by Hickman. But it sounds like despite being a different writer, Case does a great job of picking up that plotline and running with it. I also didn't realize just how much of a mess Hank Pym was in the main universe, but I think it's cool that that actually factors into the origins of this Hank Pym.
Every single copy I found of cover A has damage from the printer. A weird crease along the spine and dimple-like creases on the back cover. Marvel's printing has gotten so bad on many key issues.
on 616 Hank, thankfully he's back (albeit older now, thanks synergy) and isn't relegated to being a villain anymore. I wish Rage of Ultron wasn't canon, it got Hank removed from stories for around a decade and I don't think writers in the main universe still want to touch him. Ewing has left him on a cliffhanger so hopefully we see something come out of that
This feels like an all-time classic in the making.

Good point. It wasn't actually very clear what each character knows anout their alternate selves. I guess we will learn more over time
You think Peter knows about his spiderman struggles

I was very interested in this new Ultimates from when I heard Hickman's premise for it, and now I really like it as the premise starts to take shape.

Heroes don’t come in boxes they come in blocks of ice
What if Spider-Man’s suit is the ultimate venom suit (the original) cuz last time we saw it was when the maker was the host and he did upgrade it
I don't think that would be the case because it's revealed to be Pico technology, implying it was built by Stark.
Excellent review deniz camp was like you love 21 century men? Watch this

Ok issue. Ill stick with it though. I wanna see where it goes. The thawing of cap should have been more expanded. Mix of the old and new.
If you look at hanks brief case its modeled after ultron 1
Good question who is the president
