A lot of this sheet music wants to hurt you. This is a collab with Threatening Music Notation! This video features sheet music except it's terrible. This is sheet music except it will make you cry. Sheet music but I can't play it for my life. Alright that's enough words.

0:40 “Every good bottom deserves fist” This is the best thing I’ve read on a music sheet

I will be remembering EGBDF in this way forever
I will be switching from “Every Good Boi Deserves Fudge” to this new pneumonic. Thank you 😂😂
Can confirm :3
Shout out to all the uke out there.
That "die" at 2:12 was very Bill Wurtz-y
HA! YES!!!
LMFAO IT WAS
Bill Wurtz has joined the chat
That and the “grand finale” is just legendary.
1:28 Are we going to just ignore that it says "soft moan through instrument if possible?"
If possible?? _Why would it not be possible?????_
And that at 1:28 you’re playing the kazoo with nicotine dependency.
@@beng9790 That is my mistake. I will fix that.
1:07
@Dat one Caleb its hard to moan into a timpano
the "he's about to throw the baby" is from the Hunchback of Notre Dame musical score and I hate that I immediately recognized that
I hate that I recognized the "Into the Woods" Stepmother/Florinda bit.
This is why I'm glad I am a musician, I can fully appreciate elite humor such as this.
Music humor, yes.
"Elite"????
You need to get out more. 😄
I suspect a non-musician is among us.
You must first experience true music playing to understand true humor. If it is not chaos, it is not band.
I’m percussionist btw. What instrument do you play? :D
I play piano and cello :D
Cello is a glorified violin that plays bass clef
Havent been in a band myself (my school didnt have one when I was there) but I did music, thus can appreciate just the silliness of these sheets
I appreciate that at 1:48 you actually went up an octave
I couldn't just disrespect the music by playing it wrong 😎
@@MagicMason1000 alto clef: Hell yeah, wait is it my time? wait no, that isnt an octave.
@@BradKesalowski ...huh?

0:04 you could say the children are looking rather flat
No, the children "B Flat"!
I once played tenor sax in the pit orchestra for a production of the spongebob musical, and my favorite notation was "Wail a crazy, busy, about-to-get-freaky kind of solo"
0:54 I’ve actually played this piece! It's called Of Our New Day Begun, and it's for wind band. The context for this piece is in the subtitle: “To honor the nine victims and families of the June 17, 2015 terrorist attack on Mother Emanuel A.M.E. Church in Charleston, SC. Let us march on 'til victory is won." After the measures of stomping (and lap pats later on), most of the band sings the song that the piece is based around, "Lift Every Voice And Sing," in the context that the church is singing the song despite the shooting that had happened days before. It is an incredibly moving piece, and I recommend any who is interested listen to it.
ok but if you've played it surely u agree that the whole piece conveys a lot more emotion than you can put into a stomp lmao
@@chaoschaoschaoss Maybe one person's stomp, sure, but the entire section before builds up to a sudden stop in playing, and having a whole 40+ member ensemble suddenly stop playing (after a really dissonant chord by the way) and start stomping and clapping, then singing the hymn that the motif of the piece leading up to that point (with tambourine playing a steady pattern and flute, clarinet, and piano playing dissonant triads as the only instruments playing) alongside it makes it very strong emotionally.
Especially as it resolves out of the hymn section and into a triumphant section that repeats the end of the hymn's melody with percussion continuing the patting and clapping rhythm with low drums and tambourine, the melody continuing even as it fades into a smaller ensemble within the band, then a unison concert F that builds in intensity until a massive tam-tam roll that rings out after the band stops, the stomping both conveys emotion within itself, and also gives later sections more emotion.
I guess this is technically just my opinion though lol, I am very attached to this piece
Nice, we’re playing that in our orchestra right now (youth orchestra btw)
Yo I played this in nafme all eastern band
The “die” chord killed me lmao.

“Whispering threateningly”
Just as intended

0:23 This piece was likely written in French, as the e in Anime has an accent, meaning that it actually means "In a lively fashion", likely meaning to play loudly and quickly, with great intensity.
I applaud the commitment to the distinctive audio quality
1:07
As an ex-oboe player for band class, this is how every sheet music for oboe (if it even existed) felt
For those who want to know, I believe the intro music’s November by Tchaikovsky
played with great homosexuality
And for those who didn't want to know, well, it's too late now to turn back. :)
This gives immense "Things Dr. Bright is not allowed to do" energy and I love it
I recognized that part "For Seventeen Months I have been crying" and that specific piece was riddled with harsh sounds, from Anna Akhmatova's Requiem, and written for orchestra by Tishchenko.
In fact, some sections names are cursed as this one!
I love the music!
The “Full, yet hurting. Shell-shocked, yet hopeful” is from Of Our New Day Begun! I’ve been in an orchestra that played it before, it’s a great piece
Props to the flat note who ran the sharp notes children over with a car
He was tired of the "not looking too sharp today" shit.
Really made those children flat
@@peskypigeonx you could call it "A♭Minor"
(joke was stolen from a post of the same image on twitter)

Me when I exist
This feels like reading the sheet music for The Most Unwanted Song.
Not an instrument player. Took me until reading the comments to realize these were legit notes in legit pieces of music
There NEEDS to be a part 2.
I once saw a piece for singing with the notes (printed on the page): "Go to riff-town", "Stay in riff-town", "Buy property in riff-town", and "Hold for Jesus" within a few bars of each other.
1:42 i just did into the woods

As an aspiring music writer, I want to do shit like this lmao
****0:00** …They’re all flattened now.**
What does “play with nicotine dependency” even mean? Play for two measures and then cough for three?
Play for 30 min then go out and have a cigarette in the bathroom at which point the whole concert will be played by the fire alarm
Honestly this was amazing but more props to actually using Entry March of the Boyars, almost no one I meet or see actually knows that piece
I played it a few weeks ago and was just shocked by the fact that someone used it in a video
this is amazing 💀
the "with vigorous self hatred" one is from a piano transcription of the main character by will wood. the only reason i know this is bc i tried to learn it
This is the NSFW version of musical comedy 😂
I know that the "Stand Over, Bend and play Oboe between legs " comes from a fugue by the parodist composer P. D. Q. Bach, but nothing else
It’s from The Musical Sacrifice
My cheeks hurt from smiling but I have to hold back my laughter since it's after eleven-thirty at night and I have neighbors and very thin walls. Needless to say, I love this.
0:20 me when my bass clarinet does this weird tone strain thing
Or when the spit gets stuck in the mouthpiece and under the reed and it makes the weird spit sound
@@Mayo_ForSam YES.
Yeah I really hate that.
1:36 thats a really complicated way to say "F"
Sometimes I forget that anyone is able to write and publish their own music…
There’s one silly piece of music that says “Play without bitching about the key” 😂
I was looking at the “for seventeen months I have been crying” and thinking, oh, that high note looks really hard, and then I realized that that’s just the highest note on the clarinet. I could play that (if written in the key of Bb in treble). It made me cry for seventeen months straight.
I never thought about how weird some parts of Into the Woods must be without context.
Like the wolf costume from the original production?
oh my god 2:00 is for a musical called Amélie (i just played bass for it it about two weeks ago) it said that on my part. that is crazy.
0:56 I remember seeing this exact music, it’s from the musical “the prom” and it is the acceptance song’s playoff

1:18, I'm pretty sure that's for the cannon part in the 1812 Overture. I've done that with paper bags.
One of the sections for a piece I’ll actually be playing at my next concert is “The Sword of Hoodlums”
0:50 i’m playing this piece rn!! bass drum, it’s pretty cool. not to ruin the fun but the expression text is actually referring to the singing part underneath of it that’s cut out - the whole band sings for this part of the song, it’s neat
0:00 Gives the exact same energy as "you're pointless"
39 buried, *0 found.*
This video had me in tears! Especially the "Every good bottom deserves fist" and the "It's 5:30am and I'm on adderall!" bits
1:36 What is that key signiture?! So every note is double flat, except F, which is just flat, what were they smoking.
It's g double flat major or e double flat minor - technically correct with the rule of fifths but senseless... Both staves in 1:36 contain the same key signature and notes
@@aerodynamikapieroga Why not just write it as F major/D minor? lol

The Balloon part always gets me for some reason
0:02 damn he really flattened them xD
I need this to be a series
The notation at 1:01 might be funny, but the notes on the left look like some behatted fricker with a monocle.
IT SAYS POORLY ARRANGED ON IT IT'S WILL WOOD SHEET MUSIC THE MAIN CHARACTER PLEASE LISTEN TO WILL WOOD PLEASE I BEG OF YOU OMG I'M SO HAPPY GIGGLES YAYAYAYYAYAY
I used to be able to read music sheets so I have a very thin thread of understanding but if I saw “put your whole violussy into this” I would immediately know what to do and then do it incorrectly anyways
this is definitely a real bizarre sheet music moment
With GREAT homosexuality
I appreciate the dedication to correct tuning
I for one enjoy this new series that you have created yes this is a series now and we demand more

That outro was worth my time on its own!
Not that the rest didn't make me laugh, but that outro was some good comedy after the 'oh no' comedy that was 80% of the rest of the video.
1:00 I was so happy to recognize this. This is in a musescore adaptation of The Main Character by Will Wood and it fits

14/10 Great outro!
1:08 *H A R M*
in one of our pieces, the clarinets and alto saxes have to take the barrel off (with the mouthpiece attached obviously) and make the most horrendous squeaking sound for three beats, except none of the clarinets can count so some people start too early and play for four beats and some people start on time but play too long.
"Play oboe between legs"
As an oboist, I am dying lmao- I'd have to bend down by a lot and look like I'm in the position of a duck 😭
I trest every video here as a blessing to my heart.
And also a pain to my ears
1:39 Hello there Sondheim :D This is from « Happy ever After » in « Into the Woods ». It’s a good surprise for me to find it there, as we staged it last year at school (I’m a musical theater artist). Wonderful work, both musically and literarily, but god those rhythmic parts were a drain 😂
I don’t know why this makes me laugh every time I watch it. My favorite is he’s about to throw the baby, and the harmonic die. 😂
"die" and "bus se" got me 🤣💀

I'm a composer. My favorite thing to do is leave little treats like this in my music. My personal Favorite was "Like a goose honk" in the trumpet part of a tango I wrote. There were also "little goose honks" in the oboes later in the piece.
2:13 made me harmomise myself singing "Die" at those notes. that was my first harmony.
