  • Snow! This is unusual for Devon, UK, even in January. Today I was shooting the Nomad KTB by Freddie Archery... and later on the Raider bow by Paragon, simply because I cannot resist this bow.
These are first my warm up shots from both, warts and all. I managed about an hour before my fingers went numb. The noise in the background is the stream which runs through the valley.
    Thank you for watching!

Very nice video! I like that you are filming yourself from many angles. I spent some times replaying the video in slow motion just to learn the form. This is helping me a lot on improving my archery skill. Thank you!

I prefer the draw curve of my tatar style raider bow. I use this lighter 30# KTB as a warm up bow. My 35# KTB ( a black shadow by Freddie archery) feels stiff and not much fun (to me). My KTBs, both by Freddie archery, do have a relatively wide arrow pass, although you do get used to that. They are bows I am happy to shoot in rain /drizzle and they feel robust and reliable / consistent performers. But they do not make me smile like my Paragon Raider. I guess it depends on what you are looking for in a bow. My KTBs were my two starter bows after having had a 20+ year hiatus from archery.

@@SarahLKent Hello Sarah, i'm glad somebody shares my views, i found the 48" black shadow to stiffen up too soon for my liking and draw length of 32". Tho stepping up to 53" nomad ktb solved the issue, these bows are kinda harsh in their behavior, but slightly overdrawing them together with gentle string twist and performing forward khatra does wonders. I've shot many much more pleasant bows, but i love my little beasts.
