Wonderful! Brought back memories of doing the first half of that route as a solo trip on a beautiful day in April 1974.

Fabulous route. Special for Lewis. I am sure that will hold strong and powerful memories for him. My sons now late 30’s and early 40’s from time to time remind me of our adventures when they were in their teens. Though at the time I didn’t really know all that they were thinking I have since been told these adventures meant a great deal to them and they remember little things I had forgotten. You have the pleasure of that to come in the years ahead.

What a brilliant video. The Cuillins are magic and what a great route. It makes me smile though, that Lewis does his best to look hang dog when he knows he is being filmed, when quite clearly he is really enjoying himself. You would not get a teenager up there who did not want to go! He will remember that day for a long time. Well done to him.

Lewis might feel somewhat self-conscious as they do at this age, but in time to come, he'll look back on these days out with you and will treasure them for sure. Love the soft light through the high cloud and inversions too. Well captured and well done both. 🙂

The broken spectre with the shadow of Lewis over it was very special. The whole video was spectacular. Yours are the only Skye Memories I have and I thank you Murray from my heart for the various times you've been there and filmed.

Brilliant stuff Murray, Skye rarely disappoints, although the midgies do their best, especially in July! I fell in love with Skye in the early 1980s and looked at this triple many times, but ignored it in favour of the cursed Munro bagging disease, so thanks for sharing it with us now. I'm yet to share a Cuillin with my kids, and despite my age still hold out hope of doing so at some point, so well done for getting young Lewis up on such a great day that I'm sure he'll remember for a very long time :)
It’s a magical place - really hope you get to share some adventures with your kids at some point - nowhere better to do it than Skye:)

What a cracking day out for the pair of you - Lewis is a lucky lad to get out on such adventures. In my experience youngsters prefer scrambles to plods and I’m sure he loved this day.

Earlier this year I climbed my first 2 cullins with my dad and it was definitely my favourite mountain experience I’ve had. The views were amazing and everything went to plan. It’s great to see you sharing the experience as well 👍

Did Sgurr nan Each 20 years ago from Loch Slapin . Hadn’t researched this spiky little hill and found the bad step quite difficult. This area is superb and as much fun as the Cuillin ridge.
It has a spicey nip to it this we ridge for sure ! I agree - this area is just as good as the main ridge - a superb place to be :)
