This is what's called Jumping the Shark. A delightful melodrama. Liked. Now, is every one of these Picards looking at one another like, "Hey, I could harvest your cerebral spinal fluid to extend my life beyond my Hashimoto's Syndrome."
Promising but a rewrite is needed. This could have all been solved if Q called in the Q Continuum instead of going it alone once he got any amount of his power back. The moment the shield around Amanda weakened, why didn't Kevin act? He's much more powerful than everybody else. He was dealing with relatively trivial opponents at the time. If Q can get in during that moment of weakness, Kevin should be able to reach in and make Amanda never was. For that matter why didn't Kevin peel Amanda's fingers off Q's de-powering? Or simply reinforce Q with a sliver of Kevin's own abilities? Or call in the Q Continuum himself? Kevin might well be able to rip the entire Q race out of whatever they're doing, sit them in front of the Borg cube and say, "Your mess. Fix it." If Kevin carries an air of wisdom, wisdom is overrated. His first solution to a problem always seems to be anywhere from mass-murder to genocide even though he supposedly swore never to do it again. The story has to either tone him down or give him something important to do that requires his full power to get him out of the way at the crucial moment. And...what about Locutus' multidimensional message to all the Borg Queens? That was never followed up on and is left hanging. Kevin will probably go and do what he swore never to do again: Kill off a race across all dimensions, making his promise pointless. It already is pointless because it never seemed to slow him down or limit his choices.
good points made. as for the Q continuum they are to powerful would be to easy. as for Kevin even though he is powerful I still Think the upper level Qs would beat him and he was busy with multiple borg and amanda to help Q. and as for the message locutus sent to the queen I left that open for the audience to wonder. Thanks for watching and keep commenting these are good take aways for me to remember in future content.
While I am absolutely wowed by AI borg and I love 90% of how the story played out (Not a fan of adding in Kevin Uxbridge, but ehh... it fits as well as anything does) But in the end, Much of what this sets out to do was accomplished by S02 of PIC.(and some of S03) I could see this being made into a "long trek" but honestly after what we got out of PIC it feels like its best to let the TNG enterprise crew rest. Cause weve still got a metric fuckton of questions to be answered for "Legacy"
The formidable Q fought with the formidable Kevin the formidable Amanda in her formidable Borg Cube. Well, this is nothing but AI writing. It took the story telling mechanics of recent Star Trek and extrapolated a story of the biggest thinkable conflict with the most powerful entities of that Star Trek universe. It´s like a pot of porridge with all the strongest and most powerful entities in Star Trek thrown in to create a titanic conflict that reminds us of the MARVEL Multiverse. Nice, but Star Trek isn´t Marvel. It just shows how weak the real Star Trek writing has become during the last years. It´s an interesting story but predictable. For every "formidable" foe, there is an even more "formidable" hero and in the end everyone works together and one sacrifices himself, destroys the foes but... it´s not the end because .... sequels. It´s like a formular of money maximizing story telling for an audience with IQ 80-110.
I agree 100% with you - but still would make a good movie, if done correctly. I am intrigued regarding the half Q, half human - as in what Q fathered the child - how was it done with out the Q knowing in advance etc, how was the child HIDE from the Q(wouldn't they know they had the wrong child - this is the Q - a simple bait and switch isn't going to work with beings of that knowledge and power), then how did that child be allowed to be assimilated by the Borg, how didn't the Borg know straight away who she was etc. A lot of concepts that are very interesting in this story that could make a very good film if handled correctly, with the focus on that rather than like you said, big strong bad guy gets beaten by even stronger hero, nothing wrong with that, but gets a bit boring now.
@@rianmacdonald9454 Good points and even more: Who is Kevin and who are the Douwd and how are they related to the Q continuum? Why did Kevin step in at that point in time? What is the origin and purpose of the Q continuum? There are concepts I don´t like though: why that human exceptionalism? It´s not "realistic" that humanity would be the most advanced species, even to make up such a contest is a sign that this AI thinks like a ten year old boy. Same with the effortless connection of all Picards and Locuti across all multiverses... and the conquest of "whole timelines"... Q watching over all of it. Sorry, I´m too old for that shit. They needed 20 movies and 5 series to explain the science and lore behind that and make it even remotely believable.
@@jimbeam4736 tell me you like it with out telling me you like the it abit lol criticism is always welcome. I Will push back on the ai 10 year old mind. these are my concepts and ideas, And the reason I choose to reveal that humanity might as in possibility to surpass the Q is Becuase if you watch the episodes q puts humanity on trial picard hints at it abit telling q is it Becuase we will evolve to a point of contention. But thanks for watching keep commenting and some good points made.
This should be a tv series to flesh out the story line and fill in the gaps. This was entertaining for sure and could have alot of potential. The douwd species would be interesting to see there origins story in the series

Amazing work.
This really needs to made into a film. This 13 min story was more gripping than pretty much all the cheesy films.
Thank you for making!
Glad you enjoyed it
W O W - Fantastic
This is the best Star Trek content than the owners of ST can produce.
