    Great insights to this method. One answer I miss is how to set the lines, sso you use top leads or tight lines? How do you stop or at least minimise fish cleaning out the other rods as they are so close together? Thanks Pete

    Quality film mate , never fished so tight together, definitely give it a try .
    Do have a question tho , when you've clipped up your rods do clip it to exactly what the braid is ? Or do you add a bit for the bounce back with mono . Cheers

    • @FishingwithFin
      @FishingwithFin 2 роки тому +2

      Glad you enjoyed the film an good question! 🙌🏼 I clip the fishing rods to the exact distance as the braid and leading rod. I know the mono will stretch but it won’t be too much of an issue unless using a really heavy lead (5 or 6oz) When spodding, I’ll clip the Spod rod 1ft shorter for every 3ft water for the swing back on the fishing rods and to allow the bait to land over the rigs. Hope this helps! 😊

    Great video I love fishing three rods together but normally a few feet apart is as close as I get and still ha e some trouble with my lines being wipped on the take. how close are you fishing them and how do you stop the bites taking out your other rods?

    • @Oliverfishingguitarphotography
      @Oliverfishingguitarphotography 2 роки тому +1

      Backleads keeps the line on the bottom they can be dropped right at the rod tips and it avoids false bites and lines being taken out.

    • @FishingwithFin
      @FishingwithFin 2 роки тому +3

      Glad you enjoyed the film 😊 I will get the rigs as close as possible with only a couple of ft between each rig. It does take a few casts but it certainly pays off 🙌🏼
      The main thing I do to reduce the lines tangling is fishing with tight lines. It’s much earlier to figure out if the fish has went over the other lines or underneath. Moving the rod tips together when on the rest will also double check they’re not crossing so when you get a bite, there shouldn’t be an issue with the other rods 😊 Hope this helps!

    When inserting distance sticks why do people put them either end of the rod and not exactly in line with either end of the rod?
    At more wraps the extra few cm (thickness of sticks) will cause you to be out on your measurement if calculating from a 12 foot rod.
    I know the wraps will be the same on all rods so won’t matter but it will matter if you’re trying to hit a distance with SI Unit of measurement ie. metres,yards,feet.

    • @FishingwithFin
      @FishingwithFin 2 роки тому

      @@chrissmedley3418 There's a full mix of anglers on the lakes from beginners to experts. Most of the lakes I'd say the average cast is around 20 wraps (80 yards) but some lakes like Hunts corner, you don't have to cast far at all to catch the fish!
      The bailiffs at Linear are great at giving up to date information when down at the complex and will help with spots etc :D

    How do you do it Fin? Do you just cast them straight on top of each other or try and actually separate them? No way I could intentionally place them that close together 😂

    • @FishingwithFin
      @FishingwithFin 2 роки тому +2

      I’ll always aim towards the same marker on the horizon and once I’ve hit the clip, I’ll then decide if that rod is going to be the middle, left or right. The chances of a rig landing right on top of the other is very minimal even if you’re super accurate at casting. It’s just about having a good judgement if you’ve landed left or right of the previous cast 🎣🙌🏼

    • @FishingwithFin
      @FishingwithFin 2 роки тому +1

      @@danielrichardson6889 It depends in the situation, back leads are great for keeping the line pinned down on the bottom-especially in shallow water! On this session, I didn't use backless due to weed being preset in the margin and I felt it could become an issue :)

    Good video but doesn't really connect with average carp anglers, having 10 nets ? Keeping them in nets spiked into the lake bed ? Average water requests releasing soon. And nothing more annoying when your on a day ticket and all you can hear are spod bombs. Just annoying. I'm not digging nash, I have many of there products, but your vids are very much geared for the syndicate carp anglers that you can never get a ticket for.
